This Prime Generator Adapter has a 30 Amp locking plug that connects to three 20 Amp T-slot connectors-providing more flexibility and enables the user to draw a full 20 Amp load (5 more Amps that a standard U-Ground connector). The Primelight power indicator light shows when the power is on. It is double jacketed, super abrasion resistant, flame retardant, and oil and water resistant. Used for lighting, small air conditioners, air compressors, water pumps, power tools and equipment with 1 hp Ratings.

This "Y" connector works well in my application, that of obtaining two 120VAC taps from my generator's 240VAC tap. Despite the idea that there should be a positive 'click' when the four-bladed plug seats, that does not happen. Perhaps it is the female connector on the generator; I'm not sure. If supported and not subject to movement while in use, this adapter gives me the ability to use that 240VAC tap for additional, breaker protected 120 VAC circuits and that is exactly what I needed. (Yes, the generator has more than ample [no pun intended] capacity, just not enough 120VAC taps at 20 amps. And yes, I use plenty large running wire [10/3] for all.) This adapter will do the work and is sturdy enough to last for many years. I think it is slightly over priced, but most specialty electrical goods are.

I have a generator that puts out 220 volt, 120 volts, and 12volt DC. This plug is for a 30 amp 120 volt circuit that can power my furnace, refrigerator, but most of all my TV and internet.

They say the ends are lit but they it is better the receptacle ends are "lit" with alternating blue and red flashing LEDs which makes it easy to see, even in direct sunlight. The 30A end fit perfectly in to my generator and the three pigtails eliminate my need for a power strip, so one less thing to haul and keep track of.Plug ends are large and easy to grab when you want to (un)plug something and hold on to the plugs very securely.If I had a second generator, I'd buy more of these.

I bought this to charge my power tools on the jobsite daily. So far it works excellent. It is very durable and extra long cord length.
