This screen retainer spline is constructed of top quality vinyl that is round in shape. It features a hollow core center, it is serrated on its exterior surface, and it is black in color. Vinyl screen retainer spline like this one is used to hold fiberglass and aluminum screen material to screen frames of both windows and doors. This retainer spline has an outside diameter of 0.210 inch (7/32 inch) and measures 25 ft. in length.

Just be sure you’re buying the proper size. I think I probably bought one size too large, but it was close.If you’re thinking “Oh, it’s rubber and should compress pretty easily even if I bought too large a size†- not really. It’s a pretty stiff, firm rubber, so it’s not going to compress easily into a smaller slot.I got it to work, but it took a lot of pressure and time.I’m sure if you buy the exact right size or fault on the side of a bit smaller, you’d be fine. But don’t go larger thinking it’ll result in a tighter fit.

Excellent results. Screen kept blowing out with .019 which is what I replaced initially.Put in the .021 & have had no issues.Could only find .021 online - max of .019 is all I could find in store.

The material is very effective on our 12’ x 8’ RV awning. It was difficult at first to insert the spline, but far easier than the rigid plastic spline that had come with our replacement canopy fabric. Once I got the hang of it, it was fairly easy with a standard screen splining tool. It is now months later, and it is holding perfectly.

Ok so this item is not bad it was just the wrong size for my screen. These are two big to fit into regular household window screens. They would have to be cut in half to fit. That is why my review is low. Im sure the product would be great otherwise.
