I haven't been playing oboe for very long (just a few months) but have prior experience with other reed instruments and had been paying on a Jones before buying these. A friend recommended these reeds to me and I am eternally grateful to him for that and you for making these reeds, on a Jones I couldn't stay in tune let alone play softly and my tone was horrible, I couldn't even hit notes below the staff without letting out a honk or starting with a rough articulation. These reeds are amazing and I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

My son has found these very acceptable for playing - it works great in a pinch when his private teacher cannot make a reed for him. Private teacher also thinks it is good quality. Son has been playing for 3.5 years, has been through lots of reeds.

Well I've been playing oboe for about a year now and going from a beginner with a jones reed (worst reed ever) to a intermediate player with a marlin lesher pro series reed I have to say, I as an oboe player have never been happier on a jones I would be sharp and playing second oboe parts would be a drag because I could never play the low register in p pp or ppp and my tone would be atrocious but now thanks to this reed my tone has improved a great amount I never thought I could have a tone this beautiful on an oboe this reed has also improved my range by a half-step and i can play low register notes in tune without a problem unlike before with my jones where I would struggle to get the note out, the note just wants to come out it's got great response and it's amazing for solos I'm highly recommending my band teacher buys these from now on instead of the jones reeds.

My daughter is in middle school and started playing oboe a few months ago. She has gone through several reeds and this one has been her favorite!

This is my daughters favorite reed on Amazon. We have also spent way more, waited for months, and she's been disappointed.
