A hot glue gun was missing from my arsenal of tools, so after checking out Amazon's offerings I decided on this Surebonder. I got by this far without one, and I don't do a lot of gluing stuff together, but I wanted a quality piece so I grabbed this model.Appropriately named! I could tell it was a quality piece when I pulled it out of the box, it's well constructed and exudes about as much quality as a plastic-bodied tool can.Sure enough, an opportunity arose to use it two days after I got it. I had a manual shifter boot that came loose off a center console on a Miata because the mounting posts broke. I fired up the Surebonder, loaded a glue stick and let it warm up.With 100 watts, it brings the glue up to temp quickly. The glue flows smoothly and predictably from the nozzle, and I really appreciated the fact that when you stop squeezing the trigger, the glue stops flowing cleanly instead of slobbering adhesive all over your project. The other advantage to the power is that it gets the glue hot enough to stay liquid for a while, allowing you to position and secure your pieces before it takes a set. In the end, I had a shifter boot that stayed in place solidly, saving the customer the cost of replacing the whole console. In all, a great purchase at a very reasonable price point. Can't wait for my next opportunity to stick some broken stuff together!

this glue gun is worth the price. It heats the glue quickly and its very hot!. Only the tip of the gun gets hot and the barrel and handle stay cool. The handle is large and feels comfortable in the hand and has a good grip/ I used the surebonder dt-2010 glue stick that other reviewers recommended. I was able to use this for crafts, fix, textbook bindings, hard plastic handles. glass pieces so far. It works very well and because it really heats the glue, you can go through a glue stick pretty quickly- I used one glue stick for all those projects listed above. The only minor problem is that when the glue stick is about half-used, the only way to push the remaining glue into the barrel of the glue gun is by inserting another glue stick behind it. Not a major problem. I leave the glue stick in the barrel when shutting it off and no problem reheating it when needed. The glue is really hot and does not run stringy strands -

I have more than half a dozen glue guns, from butane-powered cordless to corded models of all shapes and sizes, and this one blows them all off the project desk.It heats up fast, with plenty of power, and can turn glue sticks into rivers of glue faster than any other glue gun I've tried. It's built very sturdy, with no flexing on the trigger as you squeeze it. The handle is rubber-coated for comfort and enhanced grip. They've also included a (tiny) power switch on the handle, which is something I miss on the glue guns that don't have that feature. I appreciate being able to switch the gun off without getting up and going for the plug every time. The nozzles include a check-valve which limits the amount of glue that "dribbles" out the end when you use the gun, which is a problem that just about all, if not every, every glue gun out there has. I recommend the additional purchase of the Surebonder 6000 nozzle set () which DOES fit this gun, and adds to the tool's flexibility, allowing you to put glue in more difficult to reach places.

Okay I'm a guy and I'm geeking out over a glue gun, something seems a little off about this, but wow this thing is amazing. It does take about 5 minutes to get hot, but it will pump some glue without cooling off. It also doesn't leak from the tip, and the heat shield around the tip saves you and what you are working on from getting burned. It will not boil the glue in the nozzle. It also has an on/off switch allowing you to leave it plugged in and shut it off, which if you keep a messy hobby bench like I do really can be helpful. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that it takes 5-10 minutes to get warm enough to use. That being said, this will be the only glue gun I use from now on.

I use the glue gun every day for work and it's been 8 months and no problems yet. Dripping is at a minimal. It uses the standard size glue sticks. The handle makes it easier to control how much glue is being dispensed and my index finger does not tire out after continuous usage. If this glue gun ever dies, I will surely buy the same one again. Totally worth them money.I have searched so long and bought so many different types of glue guns, but this one by far beats the rest. I've switched from mini glue guns (which was needed for precision, but they broke down too easily. So glad I upgraded up a bigger one with the precision tips).Buy the following for precision: Surebonder 6000 Glue Gun Nozzle Assortment SetExcellent source for bulk glue sticks: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00OBC4CWK/Do not buy the following glue guns, they're terrible: Surebonder DT-280F Dual Temperature, Surebonder H-195 Mini Glue Gun, Attican Black Iron Mini Hot Glue Gun with 15 Glue Sticks

Fantastic glue gun. It heats up fairly quickly, and once it gets going it doesn't slow me down no matter how quickly I'm working. It does not leak at all except for when it first heats up, at which point there is a small amount of glue that drips into a neat pile. This has been an amazing purchase that I do not regret. I should've replaced my old glue guns years ago because this one is so amazing.

This is great glue gun. I have had a higher wattage one for years that recently stopped working. I was worried that this one would not work as well. But I am relieved to say that it works just as well.

This glue works better than the name brand I've been using for years. The high temperature, and solid construction, make it a better glue gun overall. Highly recommend.

Nicest glue gun I've ever used. Doesn't do anything special though. Pricey for what it is.
