These came recommended by my chef where I work. Wow, it is great to be able to check those skinless chicken breasts and pork loins to prevent overcooking! These are high quality and work flawlessly- if you have ever had food poisoning then you will certainly see the price of these as an extremely good deal to prevent a recurrence! I later bought three of these for Christmas presents for my kids.

I’ve been using a thermometer to cook pretty much everything for years. My old one was great, but very basic. Had to open and close the probe to get it to stay on. Not a full time job, but irritating. The ThermoMaven F1 (Who comes up with these names?) was a great replacement. It seems very accurate, although I haven’t tested it against any other thermometer. Some more technically inclined reviewer will likely do that. Best feature is that once you open the probe to turn it on, it sleeps after a while and wakes up when you pick it up. So easy to use! The magnetic back keeps it handy on the front of the fridge. I like it.

I miss the temp readings for different doneness that came printed on the side of my old thermometer, but it reads fast and very precisely.

This is my third “instant read†thermometer. The first wasn’t so instant, and not so water resistant. It still works but fogs up. The second was over $100 and broke when it was dropped. This one is fast, accurate and waterproof. Good price too. I’m happy.

I'll rank it up with the ones twice the expense. This is my 3rd thermometer and it's quick, easy to read and the magnet for hanging is great, always at arm's length from where I always need it!

0.5 seconds, and I have a very accurate read on all food items. Great item for steaks, roasts and even a baked potato at the perfect temperature of 205'.
