I purchased a pair of these brushes when they were on sale to check them out. I am normally a loyal RegapTip brush fan, but I do have a few other brands. I'll compare this pair to its closest competitors:Compared to the this pair is slightly lighter than the Jeff Hamilton model, and does not have the same weight. However, the diameter and length are fairly close. Also, while the Jeff Hamilton model has heavy wires, this one has heavier wires. I use the Jeff Hamilton brushes occasionally (depending on which stick bag I grab) and despite the differences, in a live playing situation I doubt you would know the difference once you started concentrating on the music.It stacks up better against a popular model, the (in my opinion). I prefer the feel and balance of the Pro-Mark over that one, and I think the wires sweep and tap better. They are both approximately the same size.You need to factor in that my opinion is based on personal preferences that are subjective in nature. What I like you may hate, so trying brushes (and sticks, cymbals and other gear) in person is highly recommended.

I’m not a brush aficionado. My first brushes were the TB3’s and I wanted something heavier for live stuff. I will still use the TB3’s but these things (TB6) are what I pick up when I practice and what I’ll use live. Nice and thick.

Like most all D’Addario products this set of brushes is top of the line for the price, the temper on the wire is just right for using it most anywhere. I have abused this set and let others do the same and they are still too much like new. If there is any detraction it is that they haven’t “broken in†yet.

Great brushes, not too firm or too flimsy. Just the right feedback.Metal rods for retracting the brushes came in a little bent, working on fixing that. Otherwise perfect.

This product is exactly what you'd expect. I love that they are telescoping so the brushes don't get bent or messed up when you toss them in a bag. They have a comfortable grip and sound great. And they were so affordable...so it's perfect!

My son requested these and has used them throughout his first semester in the college Jazz Band. They arrived in great condition and have been used often. Very happy with this product.

These brushes were very disappointing and I had to return them. First of all when you retract them into the handle and then try to push them out again they get stuck. Apparently the wires are too short and go all the way in.Then if you try to push them out again the wires inside stick and get all tangled. I wound up with quite a mess.
