I bought these to mount in the ceiling in our movie room. They look great, sound fantastic, easy to install, and powerful for their size. Love these speakers.

The only thing I did not take into consideration,how much you hear them on the other side of the wall. I had speakers hanging on the wall first so I really didn't hear them so I never thought about it. Puting them in the wall turned the wall into a speaker box and the base bumps on the other side. I have been putting a couple different types of sound proofing in ,but nothing has worked. I believe I'm going to take them out and make a speaker box for them and hang them. Besides that they sound good and would recommend them specially if your on a budget,like me

I used a pair of these speakers in my recently remodeled theater room. I am as happy as I can be with these speakers considering the price. I previously used an earlier model before but found these to be sturdier and better looking than their predecessor. I had no problems at all with the mounting and the sound is good in a 5.1 system. I have used higher end speakers but these have to be the best value with little perceptual notice of degraded sound quality. I see that some of the complaints are with the bass but I think they are as good as could be expected for their size and design. However, if you want theater sound I think a sub-woofer would definitely be recommended. A good way to install a good sound system on a tight budget. If you want to spend thousands of dollars on the speaker system, you could do better...

Arrived as advertised, one box was a bit crushed but the speakers inside were undamaged. I put 6 of these in the ceiling for a fully-in-ceiling 7.2 system, these respond well down to about 45Hz before you hear a noticeable dropoff. Which is plenty low enough to feed into the subwoofer array. Even without a sub, these things are fairly adequate, high build quality, great price for the money. I don't have any issues with rattling, the circular covers snap on very positively and stay put. These will handle a 10AWG wire going to them, as well, but nothing bigger.

5 stars! Sounds great compared to all the sound bars I’ve used for fractions of a price. I’m a noob at home audio. I installed these where pop in light buckets were, had to open up the holes a small bit. Ran the wire through the recessed outlet. Hooked up to the tv via a homemade 3.5 jack converter and it was loud enough to hear, but terrible over all. Purchased a tiny amp on amazon for 30 bucks and now it sounds like a theater in my bedroom.

I set my expectations for these speakers high based on other reviewers feedback but the end result fell far short of those expectations. While installing them the support brackets were extremely difficult to tighten. We had to push so hard that one of the speaker screws broke through the plastic housing before it would tighten. For the second speaker we installed we exercised the screws before installing it and that made it much easier. But overall we took one star away for the difficulty of installation when compared to other speakers we installed in our ceilings combined with the all plastic body. These speakers advertise that they are flush mounting. But they actually protrude a fair bit compared to our other flush mounting speakers in the home. Also, the color of the covers is off considerably from the ceiling paint. They are very white while the ceilings are an off white with a little blue. Our ceiling paint is the "standard" color and other flush mounting speakers we installed matched it spot on. So we took away a half a star for the color and protruding when compared to other flush mount speakers. Finally the sound just isn't as good as we had hoped it is noticeably missing mid range tones that we can clearly here from our other speakers. We didn't expect perfect sound, and I am no audiophile, but we were still disappointed when comparing them to our other flush mount ceiling speakers. I think this is still an ok product but just set your expectations accordingly.

I picked up 3 pairs of these for an office install. It's an accounting firm and the owners just wanted some music out in the hallways and reception area to cover any potential conversations going on in the individual offices. Extremely easy to mount in a suspended ceiling. I hooked them up to a Denon AVRS530BT with each pair hooked to R/L/C. I used my phone a s a BT source and was really surprised these cheap drivers produced a fairly quality sound. Fair amount of bass, no distortion, and clarity I was not expecting. I'd happily use these for elevated speakers in an Atmos setup, as opposed to spending a lot more on "bouncing" speakers that reflect the sound.

Installation tip: Don't throw away the box instantly! The cardboard box doubles as a template for making a hole in your wall or ceiling. Pretty handy. Easy install, sounds good for the price. Makes great surround speakers in my ceiling since my sofa is pushed up against the wall.

The quality of these is fantastic. We’ve installed them as part of a surround sound type system in or mini cinema room (It’s just a bedroom with a projector and some cinema chairs) and they are fantastic. Really strong and true sounds with excellent t base when the music kicks in. Ideal in-built system.

If you like your music loud and are an audiophile then you will want to spend a little more but if you are looking for some decent quality speakers for a good price then you can't go wrong with these. Very easy to install and the sound is pretty decent. I have them installed in the walls in my hallway and basement for background music and I am very happy with them.

They sound good, but:- The amount of bass is low, but there is some. Low bass is to be expected from a ceiling speaker.- They are pretty bright in the 2-5khz range, not scooped like a traditional hi-fi speaker, so they might stand out when mixed with floor standing speakers.- The two speakers in the pair had a slightly different response to my ear, I needed to EQ them differently.Construction and installation:- The covers are white, and a little glossy. This makes them stand out against a matte painted ceiling when hit by sunlight.- Provided template was the right size. The speaker fit and mounted easily.- Seems like a very secure fit, the speaker is not falling out of the roof.- The speaker covers do not fix to the speakers well at all. Mine did not even come with 'adhesive'.
