If you're an average Joe or Josephine in a home where you want the DTS:X (someday soon, I hope) or Dolby Atmos and don't want to break the bank, these are fantastic. They exceeded my expectations and do a great job. Overhead surround speakers, duh! If you're one of these folks on the chat rooms that are mostly wannabe's and a few real audiophiles then you may want to look elsewhere. I want to watch movies in an immersive surround environment. Didn't skimp on the receiver, got the 2K-ish Yahama RX-A3050 and already have great speakers for the other 7, but had no in ceiling. Decided to try these mainly because they're enclosed and will help keep peace with my neighbors. Simple to install and, sound great. I'm happy now watching movies in immersive. Tried it first with speakers mounted high up on wall, aimed at mlp and this is much better. P.S from Amazon these guys make great side surround, they're unobtrusive and perform extremely well for r/l surround sometimes on sale at sixty nine dollars a piece.

Installed 10 of these in a office environment. They run 24 hours a day. Best bang for the buck. I used these in a 70 volt system. Good bass and treble response for a mono setup. Volume adjustments are so easy, no splicing or rewiring to change volume, just turn the knob. Hole template is included.

Installed 4 of these in ceiling, to support a surround sound system.Driving the sound with a Yamaha RX-V665, with Marantz full cabinet speakers, a sub, and a center bar up front.Puts me anywhere in the concert hall that I want to be, and I can't distort them. Hi Q, good performance.

These speakers are excellent! They have great sound and are very easy to install! Installation instructions could have been a little more detailed, but still an easy install! Would buy these again!

Purchased 6 speakers in 2014 and after a short time the trim rings around the speakers broke. They are cheap and broke. This was on the installed speaker and the unused backup in the box broke when I went to replace the speaker. I contacted the company and they did not provide and discontinued the product ad gave me no solution other than buying new speakers.Horrible customer service and cheap. Not worth the troubles created on replacing the entire system,.I will not buy another Pyle product and suggest any other brand. They leave you hanging. The speakers trim should not crack and break like a crust.

Great full sound for my application. I have a four-speaker install for a media sound system and it gives all of the volume I could ever want. Very happy with the product.

Although I have been satisfied with their mono sound, I installed several of these Pyle 6.5†70 volt speakers in my funeral home in 2012. My only complaint is the cheap plastic mounts that hold the speaker against the sheetrock ceiling and which appear to be deteriorating after years of use. Replacement clamps are unavailable from Pyle, rendering the speaker loose in the ceiling. Yikes!In addition, while trying to remount one of the speakers, the plastic rim literally broke apart by just pressing it against the ceiling. The plastic speaker enclosures are now also deteriorating. I will probably be forced to replace all the speakers originally installed in 2012.
