I recommend, the 2nd handle is rubbery, wasn't expecting that, I honestly don't know if it helps or is hindering it. Regardless the shovel certainly works, at certain times i find it easier to shovel regularly and at others its easier to use the 2nd handle. Im 24 and find it easy to use but got it for my older mom so she can try and shovel some when im not here. It shoveled the ice that was on the driveway after I put some salt in it and let it marinate in the sunlight and stuff for 20 minutes, good investment and it came in time for a snowstorm we got here

We don't have ice in California, where I live. Unfortunately there are other things we have to scrape off the concrete. This tool does the job. Came fully assembled. You can feel the weight when you lift it. And the round ergonomic handle in the back is a clever touch!

Waking-up to about 3 to 4" of wet snow this morning, it was my first opportunity to try-out my new Radius shovel and fore grip. After learning firsthand what is good and not-so-good about this shovel, I'm in full agreement with Ryan D's review.The fore grip is a nice addition to a shovel that does help save one's back a little and makes it really easy to fling snow. The shovel itself, however, leaves much to be desired. For one, the fore grip rotates around the shovel's slippery shaft no matter how tight the thumbscrews are. Second, the huge gray, plastic thumbscrew used to hold the two parts of the shovel shaft together hit me in the knee several times. Hence, consider buying this shovel for the handle, get yourself a better shovel, and put some kind of grip tape on the shaft so the fore handle doesn't move around.

If only I had this thing years ago! I could've saved myself a lot of back pain. It does what it advertised! Well built and should last a long time.

Really good shovel but has 2 problems. The 1st is that the handle will twist to one side which isn’t that bad. But the 2nd is that the front edge of the shovel is covered in rubber which makes it very hard to push forward when using. You have to lift while pushing the shovel forward. I can’t figure why they did that?

The shovel seems sturdy and easy to use. The strip is made of a plastic/rubber, not metal. There are some much better deals in some stores at this point, just without the handle.

This shovels handle broke and now I can't return it because the time for returning it has run out. This shovel is not worth the money!
