Thankfully, we didn't need to use this shovel that often this winter. But with the amount of snow that fell, it was nice to have it in the truck just in case. Easy to stash for emergencies. We used it a couple times to clear snow before leaving our parking spot, and it was sturdy enough to do the job. We've only used it for snow.

I got this to keep in my trunk with my roadside safety kit. Hopefully I won't need it.We haven't gotten a lot of snow here in the Philly region lately, but this winter is looking like it will be more "normal". We already had a couple measurable snows, but nothing that needed more than a broom. I picked this up when it was still warm out, getting ready and not wanting to have to improvise a shovel if it came to that (been there, done that, not fun).I really like that this breaks down and can be stored in its own case. Help keep down the mess in my trunk. It feels sturdy enough that it won't fold in half at the first scoop. Don't know how it will far against the frozen sludge (when you get stuck on the road), hopefully I won't need to find out.

HYPERAX Multi-Function Snow Shovel - Window Breaking and Ice Chopping, Snow Removal in Winter, Emergency Kit for Vehicle, Car, Van, SUV, Truck, Snowmobile, Snowboard Gear, Camping.$59.95.I ordered this "take-down" shovel to have as a survival tool, inside of my "old school" 1994 Bronco. In my case, it would mostly be used to shovel snow if I got stuck, not to dig dirt or dig gravel, although the shovel does look like it would be more than adequate if one needed to move some gravel or dirt also. The shovel is an adequate size, in which to be able to move a good amount of snow, quickly.I like that it breaks down, and stores "small" inside of the handy storage bag.It looks good, and it seems pretty well-built.I like that the seam of the sleeve in which the handle fits inside of, is welded together, which makes it much, much stronger. The aluminum shovel and handle are of adequate weight, but not too heavy and bulky. The "buttons" that hold the shovel together are of appropriate sturdiness. It might seem a little bit on the expensive side, but for the quality it is, I think that it is a fair value.

The shovel is okay for light snow, but not hard packed snow and ice. The starting price was too high, but I see that the price keeps coming down. It isn't metal, so don't expect that it can be used as such. I also have to ask if the window breaking handle would be useful only for breaking other vehicle's windows in case of emergency, or if you would need to fumble around in your tool bag to find it if you needed to get out of your own vehicle in an emergency.

This multifunction snow shovel is very light and packs down super small into the included bag. The handle has a glass breaking point and breaks down into three pieces, including the scoop. We live in the upper Midwest and get enough snow to need to keep a shovel in the car for emergencies. This collapsible snow shovel is great for storing inside vehicle because it breaks down and packs up so small. We just got our first snowfall of the year this morning, so I have had a chance to use it yet, but im eager to try it out. It is VERY light, but feels strong. Something to keep in mind is this shovel is only made for scooping loose snow. It's not made for any digging in frozen and compacted snow/ice or dirt.

I like to keep a shovel in my truck during the winter after having to get my truck unstuck and shovel a bunch of snow with my hands during one nasty storm. This shovel is great and packs down really nice and small and fits in the included pouch. The pouch is basically just a cheap nylon bag and I really wish they included something nicer and with a labelindicating what’s inside so I can find it quickly in my mess of a toolbox. But it works. The shovel itself looks and works great, with a nice orange finish and good length once assembled. For a shovel that disassembles down into three sections, I’m really surprised at how sturdy and rigid this shovel is. It doesn’t wiggle or twist at all, and it’s perfect for emergency shoveling needs. While the case lets this shovel down a bit, overall the shovel is great and I highly recommend it.

This shovel is small and light but, when it's put together, feels quite sturdy. It looks well made. It is really easy to connect the handle pieces together, but it is really hard to push the 'bullet buckles' in enough to easily dismantle the shovel. The handle is shorter than a regular snow shovel and the shovel head is small - it's not the shovel I would use for clearing my driveway but it's a great addition to the winter emergency kit I keep in my vehicle. The glass breaker on the end of the handle is useful, but something I hope I never have to use. The carry bag provided with the shovel is made from cheap looking, very light weight material.Overall I think it's a great little shovel, although a bit on the spendy side.

I was expecting something a bit sturdier for the price. The shovel part feels kind of flimsy, and I’m not sure how long it will hold up. Like...it rattles when I shake it. I guess it could work in an emergency, but for $80, I thought it would be more reliable.
