If you have a leave problem like I do, there are 2 solutions: Constantly clean out the diverter or leave the door off. With the door off, leaves and possibly splashing water will come out of the front of the diverter (possibly making a mess). All of the small debris will go into your rain barrel.I am not impressed.

Easy to install and works great. I love it. I also bought a rainbarrel but I also used a garbage can with clean bags to collect the rain.

I installed everything properly and tested it by spraying the hose on the roof. The diverter only collects about 25% of the water, the other 75% just flows straight through it. In my opinion it's pretty pointless and a waste of time and money. I'll be looking for something that collects more of the water.

We have been using this product for over a week and so far we are very happy with it.Pros:- Easy to assemble- Works effectivelyCons:- The screws that come with this device are a little too long and the excess screw length could easily catch leaves or other debris coming down the downspout and cause a blockage. I substituted some slightly shorter screws and now that potential problem does not exist.

Overall very satisfied with this rain barrel diverter!Love the design and built in catch for debris.That being said, shorter screws would be better to avoid catching debris upstream of the filter, and additional screws provided for the bottom half.The tubing is good but could use some reinforcement, it's pretty thin and will likely crumble from sun and weather after a few years.

LIKES: color matches white gutters, easy to clean, easy to attach, great for rain barrels because it can be shut off in the winter while barrel is stored. DISLIKES: none to report. HOW USING: I have this attached to a down spout next to a collapsible 50 gallon rain barrel. The barrel is round (not a half barrel) so it doesn’t hug the wall of the house so the tubing in this device is great for making it easy to position. RECOMMENDATION: Yes. I have always wanted to install a rain barrel for my wife. She likes to use rain water for her orchids. However the idea of cutting my gutters worried me. Also the rain barrel must be stored in the winter here in PA so what to do with a partial down spout. However, this addition works great as a 4-season addition. I have added silicone around all of the connection edges to prevent any type of leaking, but I don’t expect an issue since any drips will just lead into the regular gutter system anyway. Great item in my opinion.
