worked fine/well until it didn't. The valve motor continued to work however it stopped closing all the way and thus leaked and didn't serve it's purpose to allow the first flush reservoir to fill. It is not something I check on often so only after a few big rains and my tanks not filling that I started to investigate what went wrong. The unit itself is just about the only battery powered option out there but doesn't seem robust enough to depend on.
