This heat pump works like a charm. Great value for money. Easy to install. Very quiet during operation. It raises my 3000 gallons pool temperature by 1 degrees per hour even when air temperature is 51-52 F. Even with air temperature ranging from 50s to 90 in Western Washington, it maintains 90-94 F (Yes, Ninty Four) pool temperature without any issues. The heater works well with Smart Life - Smart Living android app by Volcano Technology Limited. Wi-Fi connection allows the heat pump to be controlled remotely. The app allows automation, settings heat/cool/auto mode, temperature adjustment, and turning on/off the heat pump. The heating system turns off automatically whenever it detects low water flow. I control the water pump based on air temperature and pool water temperature which automats the pool heating.

I am very impressed with this small but mighty heat pump. It has done an amazing job of helping raise the temperature of my 8,500-gallon inground pool from ~48 degrees to ~81 degrees in roughly 7 days in February. The average ambient air temperature in Oklahoma City over that timeframe was around 55 to 60 degrees with daily highs in the mid-60s to low 70s. I do have a solar cover on the pool as well to retain the heat overnight.The heat pump was super simple to install, especially if you already have a pool panel with 220v available. I like that it only uses 12 Amps unlike other larger heat pumps requiring as much as 30 or 40 amps. I had a couple of empty 20 amp 220v breakers in my pool panel already, so I did not have to run a new 220v line back to the main panel. Once I connected it to the pool pump/filter system and ran the power, it fired right up and got to work.I am confident that this small but mighty unit will be able to extend our pool season into late October or even further, and will allow us to open the pool in March or even earlier.

These units have their warranty void / cancelled by the manufacturer because they were sold at a discounted price, I learned directly from the manufacturer after being denied warranty registration on their website. The seller has not responded to my query through Amazon customer service and I was offered a partial refund to compensate for the cancelled warranty. The information about the cancelled warranty is not in the item's description.

Have used this product for 1 solid year and am very happy we bought it. The best thing that we like is that if the pool get too hot it will bring the pool temperature back down to what we set it for. It heats the pool water quickly. Great product and glad we have it, best thing we did to enjoy our pool

The installation was easy and this unit has performed well. It has increased our pool usage 3 fold and I am excited about it extending our open time, as it can stay chilly into the beginning of summer and come early in the fall. The ability to add it to my wireless network and manage it with the rest of my home is very handy. I am able to schedule turning it on and off along with the pool pump is great. It is a heat pump model, so the time it takes to heat up is longer but I expected that. I knew I was going for efficiency and in that area this delivers. It is whisper quiet and the nearby pool pump drowns any sound out. I highly recommend scoping appropriate size and adding this to you pool setup. Very happy family and glad I made this investment.

Heats our 9,000 + gallon pool overnight, from 72 to 84. Easy to install. The unit has a Flow Control valve built in it, which turns off unit when pump is not running, so you can leave the power to it all the time and just control your pump with your normal Timer. It's quiet which is a plus, as I had to locate it under a window.Great purchase for us!

I installed this heat pump on October 16th and by the 18th it went from 81 to 99. Granted I’m in central Texas and have a pool cover but I’m amazed that it heated it up that quick. Installation was easy if you have basic electrical skills. 2 110v legs and your common. Plus piping. We have a 18’ x 48†so far I’m very impressed. I did a lot of research and spoke with several people and raypack is ranked at the top of the list and so far they are right. Worth the money

We wanted to have this pool heater up and running for a Pool Party celebration we are having Saturday, July 13th. Ordered it, received it, and installed it, all plenty early for this special day. However, immediately a code came up for a failing "water inlet temperature sensor". The manufacturer's customer service was very difficult to reach, since they work the same hours as we do. After multiple attempts we were finally able to talk with someone there, and we were told this product had already been registered by someone else. However, they would send us a replacement part "overnight/expedited". That call was placed last Thursday (five days ago). Today we called again to Raypak's customer service team to inquire about this "expedited" shipment and we were told it wouldn't arrive until Tuesday, July 15th. When questioned about it being "expedited" the blame was shifted to FedEx. If and when this issue gets resolved, we may possibly have a different review on the item itself. UPDATEWe received a full set of sensors from the manufacturer. My husband was able to replace the defective part easily. It's been working perfectly ever since. Although the part wasn't here for the July celebration, we have had several more get togethers since then and everyone LOVES the 87 degree pool water. The heater itself deserves a five (5) star rating. The seller also tried reaching out multiple times to offer assistance. However, since I am not too familiar with Amazon, I didn't see the messages early on, which might have changed my earlier comment/review.Overall, we are very happy at this point.
