How to make a pompom
Step 1
Open the pompom maker, wind yarn evenly with your left hand.
Step 2
Snip the end of the yarn, and close the pompom maker.
Step 3
Open another side of the pompom maker, wind yarn evenly.
Step 4
Close the pompom maker, and snip all yarns along the middle of the pompom maker.
Step 5
Wind another yarn around the middle of the pompom maker twice, tighten it and tie a knot.
Step 6
Trim the pompom.

Hats on a loom and pom poms on a pom pom maker go really fast and require very little skill. I used to dread making hats on DPNs (double pointed needles), but it was the only way I knew how. A friend introduced me to hat looms and I've been able to make them quickly and with pleasure ever since. I had bought one or two looms at a thrift store, but when I saw these on Amazon, I wanted to get a whole set. I can use the largest one to make a cocoon for a baby, and the next largest one to make an adult hat. The hats in the photos are for premature babies. I don't know how to make a flat piece yet, because changing directions and knitting them without the edges curling can be tricky. There are plenty of YouTube videos for me to learn from, though. I like these looms better than the ones I already had because of the style of the pegs. These don't have that hook type edge on the pegs, but instead, have a rounded peg. Additionally, the groove on the pegs is wide enough to get your hook well under the yarn to keep it from splitting. These looms and the pom pom makers are great!

I think this is a great starter set. I would have liked to get atleast a small amount of yarn, especially compared to other kits & prices, but still a great set.I'm still learning to use everything. I've made a few hats, with big fat pom poms on top. I think the hats are probably the easiest thing to start out on, and the pom poms are so fun & easy to make.The kit comes with basically everything you need to start, except the yarn. They've also added some pretty basic instructions, but youtube is very helpful especially if you're a visual learner.Overall, I'm happy with this set. My only complaint, well suggestion, would be for them to add some yarn to the set. I definitely recommend this set, still a great deal .

This wasn’t my first time using looms like this, and I can say with experience these looms suffer from the same problem the others have: the pegs fall off too easily. But you don’t have to go through that frustration, because experience also taught me that if you take a hammer and pound each one in before you use it the first time, they’ll stay in. These are no different.This is a nice kit and you’ll find yourself very easily making hats and scarfs on day 1. My only real complaint is that for the same price ($22), you can find MANY kits with the same components AND a few skeins of yarn. For a kit without any yarn, it should be priced at least 14% lower.

This is a great loom kit. It comes with everything you need to start knitting. I have tried knitting with needles several times and I just can't seem to get the hang of it. These looms are awesome and easy to use. Now I can make knitted items without all the frustration of using knitting needles. The looms are well made and durable. It comes with instructions but I ended up going on YouTube to see videos on how to make different projects. Once you get the hang of it, it is so easy and fast to produce a scarf, hat, blanket, etc. I highly recommend this loom kit.

This knitting loom kit looks like the pictures and comes with 5 different sizes of circular looms, 2 straight looms, 4 different sizes of pompom makers, 2 hooks, and 2 plastic needles. My son has wanted to learn to loom knit and this is the second kit we’ve tried. I am very impressed with the quality, as the looms are sturdy and the pegs don’t fall off. They are much heavier weight than another kit I have, and the instructions are decent. Granted, you’ll probably want to watch a video if you’ve never loom knit before as the instructions aren’t super detailed, but the instructions are a lot better than the first intro kit I got. Overall I am impressed and I highly recommend this set for anyone learning to loom knit!

I'm am intermediate loom knitter. I am trying to find a good replacement set for my beloved knifty knitter. The ones I've tried have been chinsey. When I saw this I thought why not try them out.First I want to say you get A LOT of items for very little.These looms are great quality! I think i like these better then my knifty knitter. It doesn't feel like it's going to break!The Pom pom makers i will not use because I don't know how to use them.....I just use 2 rolls of tp tubes.I would recommend this set to anybody I'm going to teach.

I like that this set has so many loom options. It comes with pom pom makers, too. There are two sets of loom hooks and needles, so you can either have two projects going at once or share the activity with a friend.
