We recently renovated our kitchen, and the new layout has the refrigerator a bit further than the included water line was able to reach.Ordered this 12 foot water line to hook up to the refrigerator that is about 9 feet away from our sink.I was able to install this myself as all you need is a small plumbers wrench, or if you don't have that tool, an adjustable wrench or will also suffice. The 1/4" connection fit perfectly to the fridge and the existing T fitting under the sink.I do like that the inner tubing is made of PEX and not plastic / PVC, which is where the industry has been moving to in recent years. All in all, this was painless and easy to hook up and the result is more than satisfying, especially when you factor in this is a more cost effective option than what your local home improvement store sells this for.Great product that is both effective and affordable.

I just ordered a new refrigerator and the salesperson recommended I upgrade the water line for my ice maker. My current line is just ¼ inch plastic tubing, with no reinforcing mesh. He cautioned that those plastic lines can get brittle over the years and fail, causing a lot of potential water damage. So, I ordered this replacement supply line with the stainless steel sheath. The tubing and fittings look just like similar water lines I saw in local stores, and I probably would have just bought this locally. But the local stores only sell 10 or 20 foot lengths, and this 15 foot line is really what in need for the cleanest looking installation. This particular water line also comes in a 12 foot length, giving you another choice that you might not find locally. I just finished installing the water line and evrything went together as expected with no leaks. This is an excellent choice if you need to run a small water line, and it comes in lengths that you might not find locally. It delivers as advertised making it a five-star item for me.

The Refrigerator Water Line for Ice Maker Braided hose is a solid option for connecting your fridge to the water supply. The 15-foot length provides ample reach, and the braided design adds strength and durability, preventing kinks and wear over time. The PEX material ensures flexibility, making installation easier while resisting cracking or damage from freezing. The 1/4" compression fitting is compatible with most fridge models, providing a secure and leak-free connection. A reliable choice for anyone installing or replacing a water line for an ice maker or water dispenser.

We moved the fridge to another wall and used this line to connect it up. It seems to be a solidly built hose. 10' was a bit longer than I needed but I've found that by pre-coiling it a bit kind of tight it will suck up the slack when you slide the fridge in. It was a bit hard to get the fitting started as the washer hadn't been compressed and the threads didn't quite catch. Just push hard and twist to get it going.

Just slapped it on from the fridge water line to my new fridge, tightened the ends and it worked. No fuss. Definitely prefer this to all the extra steps involved with the plastic options. Though it was a bit tricky putting the fridge back in place because it's not as bendable as plastic, so I had to coil it up first before pushing the fridge in. All in all took about 20 minutes.

Package arrived undamaged and contained all the items identified on the product page. This is hose is not to be confused with one used to connect faucets, it has a 1/4 threaded compression fitting on both ends so you're tying it into a T 1/4" ball valve from your waterline to your fridge.Lots of length with this hose so you can reach your supply line almost anywhere, the compression fittings are of good quality and marry up to the ball valve fitting perfectly and then to the fridge water intake just as well. Line has a PEX core with an outer metal braided for durability. Still very flexible so you can snake it into water cavity you need to. The hose ends seem to be crimped well without any visible defects. When connecting to both the supply and fridge the threads fit on smoothly and tighten up easily with absolutely no leaks.Perfect braided supply line for my fridge. I suppose if you need it to be shorter you could probably cut it and use the appropriate PEX crimper/expander to attach it directly to your ball valve.

This hose is replacing an old plastic line. The old line easily kinked when pushing the fridge back in to position, and took extra care to ensure moving the fridge didn't lead to any leaking. This new line is significantly more durable, with a strong stainless steel outer braid; this ensures the inner PEX tubing is protected from damage. As noted the line itself is PEX, so far more durable than a single walled poly tube as is commonly used for fridge water lines. The end fittings are good quality and very securely crimped in place. They are standard 1/4 inch, so fit most fridges directly (or can easily be adapted to other standard sizes). The extra long length also aids in allowing movement of your fridge for occasional cleaning or service work without worry of pulling the line too tight.Overall Verdict?Good quality line, much more secure than old poly lines - I recommend upgrading to this product.

I just bought a new fridge and needed to run a hose for the ice machine, this cable was exactly what I needed. The host is sturdy and the connections on each end are VERY solid. My concern with anything like this are connectors that are a little flimsy as that usually results in some leaks, but this was really well made.Ran the cable to the shutoff valve and to the fridge and things worked perfectly. Couldn't ask for anything better.

These are a good replacement for plastic water lines, a lot more durable and less likely to catastrophically leak. The quality seems perfectly fine and the price ($30) is pretty typical.
