Mini Auto Siphon

Mini Auto-Siphon

It is perfect for those small fermenters where a full sized auto siphon can be too large. This siphon will work great for 1 and 2 gallon sized fermenters.

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you use 3 or 6 feet 3/8" ID tubing with the 3/8" Mini Auto-Siphon. Simply dip the tubing in warm water to soften it enough to slip over the end.

Important: Temperature maximum: 120˚F or 49˚C.

Regular Auto-Siphon

A must for home brewers, this auto siphon is the easiest, quickest way we’ve found to siphon your delicious brew from carboy to bottle. With the racking cane, it only takes a few minutes to siphon off a 5-gallon batch. Gone are the days of siphoning the old-fashioned way.

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you use 3/8" ID tubing with the 3/8" Regular Auto-Siphon. Simply dip the tubing in warm water to soften it enough to slip over the end.

Important: Temperature maximum: 120˚F or 49˚C.

Large Siphon

Large Auto-Siphon

One stroke will start a siphon when immersed in as little as six inches of beer or wine; less than six inches may require a second stroke. Auto Siphon includes a removable diverter tip to minimize sediment pickup. Plastic construction; can be disassembled for cleaning.

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you use 7/16" ID tubing with the 1/2" Auto-Siphon. Simply dip the tubing in warm water to soften it enough to slip over the end.

Important: Temperature maximum: 120˚F or 49˚C.

Removable Tip

All Fermtech auto siphons contain removable tip. You can remove it and siphon straight from the bottom of the container or keep it on and avoid all the sediment at the bottom by being 1/2" above the surface.

Easy removal for cleaning.

Fast, easy, and a good way to 'rack' wine.

I got this to siphon for homebrewing beer and wine and haven't had any problems with it. Certainly a novel product to get a siphon going without spraying your precious brew all over. It is a little unwieldy to clean, but so is everything when it comes to homebrewing. Just the right size for a 6.5 gallon carboy, so it'll work great with smaller ones too. Seems solid enough - mine has held up just fine. Flexible tube is plenty long enough, but could easily be replaced with longer section if you needed. I'm super happy with it.

For years I thought the best way to siphon was the way my dad siphoned gasoline out of the car for the lawn mower..quickly suck the tube and spit out what ever might have started flowing from tube. After purchasing this, I quickly learned there is a better way! This is very easy to use, easy to clean and just so much easier than the manual method. Thank you for creating this

These things are ubiquitous in the wine/beer making world, and they're basically indispensable for siphoning your liquids from container to container without aerating and thereby introducing unwanted oxygen into your booze. This one works fine and is the same as all the others I've come across over the years. It's basically a disposable piece of equipment though, good for a year or three (depending) before you're going to need to replace it; it's made out of cheapo polycarbonate plastic (I think?) which will eventually get scratched, leaving places for bacteria to lurk. The seal on the inner siphon starter tube is kind of tenuous as well, which means that you usually have to pump it several times before the siphon starts to flow. I don't like this, as it's aerating the liquid in there with each pumping motion. Not a big deal for red wine, but an annoying thought for a light Pilsner beer.I strongly recommend SILICONE tubing, not vinyl, for the siphon line; the siphon will stop if the vinyl side-walls kink or collapse, which is a royal PITA. Giving it 4 stars because although it's not ideal, it's good enough and gets the job done, even if it's a far cry from a pressurized transfer using a blanket of inert CO2.

I already had an auto siphon exactly like this but thought this one was smaller when I ordered it to use with my Vinbrite wine filter system. Regrettably, the auto siphon is the same size as the filter hose and thus does not fit. Because return shipping would probably be more than what I paid for the siphon, I will save it for a backup. I wish I could find one a size smaller that would fit the Vinbrite Filter.

Oh my goodness, this is soooo much easier than trying to establish a siphon the old-fashioned way! Works flawlessly. It seems to be designed to fit a standard carboy. You can put it all the way down to the bottom and not risk getting much sediment because the stopper on the bottom prevents probably 99% of the sediment from entering. That means you don't have to waste as much wine and probably don't have to worry about topping off when re-racking because you won't lose much.

An autosiphon is a must-have if you're doing anything with carboys. It's a clean and efficient way to transport your beautiful, fermented creations into bottles. The auto-siphon function sometimes takes more than one pump to get the siphoning action going, especially with beer (the bubbles slow down the downward flow). It'll take more than a couple siphons to figure out the best way to bleed the air out of the hose. I also found that the carboy pretty much needs to be more than two feet over the top of the receiving bottle, and even more height is encouraged, which I thougth was excessive. And finally, washing and sterilizing the siphon afterwards is cumbersome, with many intricate parts that are hard to get a sponge around. Despite the complications of the siphons design, I am happy with my purchase, and recommend it to any of my fellow home-brewers!

It works as perfectly as it should. If you are using carboys to brew your beer or wine, then this is the product for you. I only wish that it came with the tubing as well, but none of them do. Go to Home Depot and pick one up while you are waiting for it to be delivered. On a side note: Don't leave your tubing to soak in StarSan over night. It's an acid, and it will ruin you tubing. A few minutes is all it needs.

Multiple replacements and yet every piece has air leakage issue due to cuts in the rubber valve, which completely defeats the purpose of this product. Do not buy. Not fermetech
