Your cart is empty.The REOTEMP K79-7 is an accurate and rugged pocket thermometer featuring a quick response time due to it's quality bimetal element. Manufactured under ASME B40.200-2008 standards the K79-7 is accurate to ±1.8 degrees Celsius. It is shock resistant, waterproof and dustproof and comes with a plastic pocket protector. The case, bezel and stem are quality 304 stainless steel. The lens is glass and will not yellow over time. The K79-7 comes pre-calibrated and features an external reset for adjustment. This model has a temperature range of -10 to 110 degrees Celsius. This is a small compact general purpose thermometer that can be used for food inspection, spot checking air duct temperatures, classroom science experiments and thousands of other uses. This thermometer is OK for very rough readings. The dial is very small. The thermometer is very responsive to temperature, so the results are quick...but I haven't done any calibration testing. This will give you a ballpark read. I like that it's very portable, but I think the applications are limited.

An inexpensive, accurate, battery-free thermometer that I use to tell the temperature of my AC outlet air. Lets me know if my AC is cooling as it should (40F). Unlike battery-operated, it is always "on" and I can use it to find out the ambient temperature, or if I have a fever, if needed.

i got this not seeing the reading is celuis,not all americans understand what the hell it is reading. but other than that looks like a great tool if you are from another part of the world.

Well, I got one based on the reviews. It was off a few degrees at room temp so I did the ice and water trick... or I tried.As the others may have mentioned. It is very hard to turn.I had to grab the dial with a pliers to turn it. So naturally a broke the glass. I still needed a thermometer an though no longer water proof. I could still get part of the glass in there. The bezel that retained the glass and the gasket had already come off. It was only a friction fit. No crimp.I finally got it to turn to 32° F. I set it on the the table to return to ambient temperature +/- a little and it was off over 10°F. I placed it back in the ice water and it only read 40°I use similar units in an industrial application so I'm quite used to the ice water trick and how it works.It can't be calibrated.I took the stem protector off for a meat thermometer that lost one and promptly threw this one in the trash.It's not worth my time to mail it back.
