My control panel stopped working mid cook on Thanksgiving day. Fortunately, I had a pellet grill I was able to finish cooking the turkey in. I was beyond frustrated with MB and their control panel. It rarely work with the app and when it did, it was inconsistent. I noticed the temp control was getting a little weird the last couple of cooks. I had to turn the dial more and more to get the temp to move. Finally, on Thanksgiving day, I was adjusting the temp of the 1050 and it dropped all the way down to 225 and I couldn't adjust it up or down after that. I turned it off and unplugged it for a little bit, hoping that would correct it. Nope, it was done. Anyway, that's my rant about the original 1050 control board. This on was easy to install and works great. I'm not worried about the bluetooth or wireless connectivity, because it never worked on the MB control board anyway.

So far it has done everything I needed it to do. I didn’t care about the Bluetooth or WiFi on my gravity series. I don’t think I’ve ever used it in the 4 years I’ve had mine. Quality seems good, controls seem to do what they are supposed to do. Can’t ask for much else.

No. Just don’t do it.This is my second one. The first one stopped signaling to the fan to turn on, rendering the smoker unusable. Installed the replacement and it worked perfectly for about three hours. Got my ribs prepped for Super Bowl Sunday, got the smoker fired up and up to temp. I went back out to put the ribs on and the temp was 130 degrees. Again, the unit I replaced today and tested for three hours (working just fine this morning) is not signaling the fan to turn on, rendering my smoker useless.

It’s a good replacement for your master built, but it doesn’t have the Wi-Fi that came with the master Bill

This controller is adequate to replace a broken OEM unit, but it is not of the same quality. It does work well however, and I been using it for the better part of 2 years.

It works, but not what the picture shows. This will work, but wont be able to monitor temperature. missing antenna, disappointed
