I was a little nervous to put it on at first because some reviews said you needed to apply more pressure than you thought. I’m new to cameras so I wasn’t sure how much pressure was “too much†pressure to begin with. I watched the video they provide and got it on easily. I can see how this would help protect your lens in case you were to ever drop it. Helped me take some great photos in the middle of a sunny day day for my first photoshoot of a friend :)

The hood will cast a partial shadow in the image if used with the OE flash on the M50 w/ 11-22mm when shooting extra wide angles.

EF-M lenses and consumer grade RF lenses do not come with lens hoods. These are a much better bargain and work just as well as buying an optional one from Canon.

Was worried after reading the reviews but the lens hood fit perfectly and was easy to attach. It stayed secure as well.

Get this one instead of a different brand one that's priced a couple dollars less; quality difference is significant even though made of the same plastic material.Also, this JJC brand comes with a microfiber cloth--nice.Now I know I'm only gonna buy JJC brand ones. Thank you, JJC!!

Perfectly. There's really not much else to tell ya, other than don't get the flower pedals that you have to screw into the lense thread because those will turn while you're trying to focus on your subject, which defeats the purpose of its intended use.
