The product photo shows 32 leads. Rigol's manual for this shows that there are 32 of each. I got 20 of each, and the packing slip shows 20 of each. 16 are grounds, so probably not a show-stopper, but these are pretty flimsy, and it's good to have a full complement so that some spares are available. RIGOL suggests using a ground lead twisted for each signal lead where noise is a concern (so that requires 32 leads and 32 grabbers). It comes with 16 lead labels 0-31. and 16 labeled ground (that's 32 label pairs) for 32 leads. Somebody screwed this up.Also, Rigol designed the plastic housing at the scope end of the ribbon cable, so that it tapers away from the scope. It requires more than a little force to plug it and unplug it. Plugging it isn't a challenge, but maintaining your grip on a shiny plastic tapered plug is not so easy while attempting to unplug this from the scope. The little bit of ribbing that it has looks like it should help. It doesn't help. They should've fluted it, and not tapered it. The rest of the instrument's (scope and logic analyzer) implementation reflect a similar pattern of not working things all the way through (though the UI on the scope is not bad, just buggy). So does the fact that the packing list (accurately) lists 20 leads and grabbers, and all of the other materials show 32.I found another logic analyzer for the same price with 32 channels, and really wonderful software called DSView. I bought it, and much prefer it (and it's tiny, comes with a nice case).I've asked RIGOL, and the seller about getting the missing pieces but have been ignored for three days now. They finally sent a FULL set of new ones, which is great.

If you did not know, Rigol now officially supplies these with only 20 probes, so that is not a packaging issue and even the latest manual has been updated for this change. A shrinkflation effect I suppose. But what's more bugging is that the probe runs VERY HOT! Apparently this is normal as per Rigol, but I genuinely see no reason for a probe to run this hot as it is merely measuring High/Low and not doing much analysis on its own, or feeding any power.Had this thing cost $100 I'd be ok with it's shortfalls , but at a price of new DHO800 series scope I just cannot recommend this probe.

It works, but the wires are just regular dupont type connectors with flags tape stuck on. The taped on numbers don't stay, they fall off all the time. For a probe that costs as much as a whole oscilloscope, they should have done better.

High quality logic probe but unfortunately, the serial protocol decoder doesn't work with it on my brand new DHO924S. I wouldn't post this review, except I emailed Rigol support and got no response at all. It's sad. I trusted Rigol and so far I have not gotten any kind of acknowledgement of the problem I have encountered.

Update: Rigol Customer support seems very good. I sent a email to customer support about the missing probes. The next business day I received a email from Rigol that they had sent by FedEx a set of probes. They sent 16 probes and grippers. I gave them an extra star because of their customer service response.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Seems to work ok. Package was missing 12 leads&grippers. Same problem has been reported by others.Rigol manual says 32 leads/grippers are included. Package contained only 20. Rigol manual also recommends using a ground for each signal tested. I sent a request for help to Rigol. I will report back when I hear from them.

Korzystam od kilku dni z sądy PLA2216. Sonda sprawdza się w amatorskich warunkach. Dużym plusem jest możliwość użycia wraz z oscyloskopem w celu szybkiej diagnostyki u klientów. Zaskoczyła mnie wysoka temperatura jaką sonda osiągnęła po ok 1h pracy (zał. zdjęcie). Dostałem informację od producenta: "Sprawdziłem to z naszym specjalistą IT. Powiedział, że to normalne podczas użytkowania.". Pomimo kojącej odpowiedzi od producenta moje doświadczenie podpowiada mi że aż tak wysoka temperatura może mieć realny wpływ na żywotność i czas eksploatacji sondy. Jeśli ktoś pracuje często w bardzo niskich temperaturach ta sonda będzie idealna dla niego ;-)
