This is a nice convenient rock collecting kit! The shovel and all the tools are pretty sturdy and so is the bag. No complaints from me so far

The tools are great, it gives you enough to get started. There’s no big surprise with hand tools. They nest in the bag just fine. I’m not a huge fan of the bag and I did try to use it regularly. It’s very hard and doesn’t, feel very comfortable. The tools slosh around as well. For the price, though, I can’t complain and I would likely purchase again

We used this when we dug for geodes and it worked great! Perfect set!

The shovel and straight pick is very flimsy and doesn't lock when using one side or the other. We will not use this item included in the kit. All other items seem to be fine.

These are just for kids, but adults too. Comes with everything you'd need. Way less expensive to buy this than to buy the items separately.Comes with:Gloves: 2 pairs! Recommended so you don't cut yourself on sharp rocks or get your hands dirtyHammer/pick: Just like my Estwing hammer picks. This is more similar to the heavier 22 oz version. Use the flat end for chipping/breaking rocks and the pick end for prying up/apart rocks. Don't use the pointy end for breaking rocks.Whistle/compass: Good for emergencies or if you're not sure where you're going but not essential.3 chisels in different sizes: You really only need one, and they're not really necessary. Good if you want to try to make a clean break in a certain location on a rock. I prefer chisels with hand guards and these don't have hand guards.Goggles: Necessary. Even if you close your eyes, you can still get cut by flying rocks or get pieces lodged in my...I mean YOUR nose... Don't want to lose an eye either.Spade/pick: Not really necessary, but good to have around for digging up rocks in case they're partially buried. This one folds up very small and seems sufficiently strong.Bag: Very necessary. You want it to be stiff and scratch resistant, and have more than one compartment. This is pretty much the perfect bag, except I'd prefer the closure straps to be longer and have overlapped/sewn ends to prevent them from coming all the way out of the buckles so you can open the side and reach in without having to undo them. You can put your "clean" items like goggles and whistle into one compartment and use the other for your dirty tools and rocks.Overall excellent and just what you need for rock hunting.
