Works fine - rope not long enough for my attic - remember fully extended rope length will be 1/4 of actual rope.

I purchased this to raise a 150lb. "through wall" air conditioner 9ft. off the ground for installation in my living room wall (cathedral ceiling). At $20 I consider this item "perfect" for objects up to "possibly" 300lbs(*occasional homeowner use only, this is not an industrial grade tool*). Considering the lighter build quality and rope thiness the max weight rating for this product isn't realistic. However for objects up to a few hundred pounds and at its price point it serves it's purpose perfectly!Once you evaluate your scenario based on my observations this item may be perfect for you!(THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL OR CONTRACTOR GRADE PRODUCT, BUT AT $20 I WOULDN'T CONSIDER IT REASONABLE TO EXPECT THAT!)

I have a water softener that uses salt, the 40 pound bag salt was very easy to lift with this pulley, should have get this long time ago.

Unfortunately, the ropes keep twisting, so that the pulley becomes virtually impossible to use.

My wife and I are physics nuts and are using only these Yatointo pulleys to pull this car up this ramp. Immediately we had some difficulty because the rope that came with it is 1/4†and would not be sufficient to use for 4,430 lbs up a 27 percent grade, by hand. So we opted to try and use it with 3/8†rope but it was almost too big. But we used to pull out cars up with a winch and then my son challenged me to pull it up by hand. I hate to crawl under cars anymore and welded a ramp to pull our cars up on. The use of mechanical advantage is fascinating and we’ve been doing it this way ever since.UPDATE: this pulley literally fell apart as we were pulling (by hand) this BMW 328i up my 27 degree ramps! I was disgusted because I SHOULD have had an easy time. We had TWO (2) of these and shouldn’t have had any trouble whatsoever pulling 3340 lbs with an 8 to 1 mechanical advantage! You can see by the photos I’ve attached that using 3/8†poly rope rather than the 1/4†poly rope, the plastic sheaves literally split down the middle. Save your money and buy HD pulleys!

Yatointo rope hoist was perfect for me to use in my high ceiling garage to hoist my portable table saw up to the ceiling so I can still park 2 vehicles in the garage. Not much effort to raise and lower the saw when I need it.This hoist is solidly made and I am very pleased with purchase.

Not the highest quality item on amazon but it did what it was supposed to do. I was able to put a 250lb generator in the back of my truck with this setup.
