5 stars for performance but a tiny little piece of rubber could be made out of something at home. Required at the school but so silly to pay this price and have shipped. Seems a local product or item made at home could work to hold cello from slipping.

It lowers the sound by about 20-25%. I was hoping for something near 40%.It might be because it doesn't fit my bridge perfectly, but I can't really fault the product for that.

The mute works as advertised, but it is tight and thus difficult to place on and off the bridge.

The holes are to far apart and it mutes too much like a practice mute. But in general it's a good mute for the price
