About this item

  • Bridge-mounted Piezo-ceramic Cello Pickup with 1/4" Jack 10' Cable

The C-100 utilizes Fishman's patented Floating Mount System for easy installation in the wing slot of the bridge. A 1/4' tailpiece mounted jack and 10' cable complete this package. An impedance-matching preamp is recommended, but not required. Easy installation with no alteration!

Works great. I plug it right into a bass amp and it sounds siiiick.

We bought to play while hooked up to a PA system, for it to work with a PA system you will need a pre-amp. We were able to hook it up to an amplifier thought and it sounds fantastic

Bought this, along with the pre-amp, to use on my cellos. On my cello with a Belgian bridge, the space between the wing and the leg is too wide to use the pickup without using the wood shim that comes with it. On my cello with a French bridge, it fits perfectly, however, the wings are longer. As for the sound, I was very, very pleasantly surprised to discover that my cello sounds like an amplified version of itself, and not an "electrified" cello. I am sure that you can make it sound more electric, but I haven't had a chance to play around with it as much as I would like yet.

I needed a quick fix for live performance with my cello and this pickup was very affordable. Well, you get what you pay for. It works, but just barely. I had to run my cello through an EQ pedal to boost the signal, which got me there, but the recreation of the sound was a little off. The bass generally didn't resonate very well and I tended to have an issue with hum (a ground loop @ 60Hz that had to be eq'd out). I've since bought a Shadow SH 955 Nanoflex Pickup and haven't looked back. The Fishman gets the job done, but expect to have to boost your signal A LOT to use it live. I'm told the preamp Fishman sells as an accessory will solve all the problems I had, but for the cost of both of them you can get a Shadow pickup or another one of the competitors.

Awesome sound with a small footprint.Great to have no mic stand giving more freedom.

the connection does not stay fit therefore causing the quality of sound to be unacceptable.I would love Fishman to stand behind their product -

I use this to accompany rock guitarists - so not the most challenging application (i.e. not solo work) but I'm completely satisfied with the product - installs easily on any cello, no feedback or other distortion, good pickup and quality. I do use a preamp as recommended. My one complaint is that the instructions want you to glue it on and that would make removal and subsequent install on other instruments harder.

129 dollars!? PLEASE don't even consider buying this. It's a cheap piezo element hooked up to a 1/4 jack! You can do this yourself for $4 at a Radioshack! You'll save yourself 125 dollars minus a bit of gas money. Search around a little more for a cheaper pickup if you don't want to DIY, but don't spend $129 on $4 worth of materials!

Works a treat. You need a 'preamp' with this pick up which you can then use as feed to PA desk or main amp systemGives good sound without any feedback.Even when cellist plays 'quietly' you can still get good sound pick upThis might not be a super professional quality broadcast type pickup but in my view good value for money and although a delicate item if handled with usual care is suprisingly robust

Se tiene que usar con un preamplificador.Sonido chato de baja calidad por el precio que tiene. No lo recomiendo.Tengo otro piezo chino que vale una décima parte de lo que vale este y suena mejor.
