My Delta shower was new in 2013, lots of hard water later, it was leaking at the dual handle when turned off. This was a great rebuild set. I needed WD40 to losen the "beauty" ring before the bonnet. Cleaned up the trim parts with CLR. Working as should now.

The original version of this valve assembly had a design flaw which caused it to leak. We have 3 baths which all had the same faulty valve assembly that leaked. I replaced all 3 of them with this assembly and I can see where they corrected the design flaw. No more leaks now. Only time will tell if the new version will remain leak free.

This cartridge comes with the back seals and looks exactly like the original. Install was a little harder than expected, mainly because the threaded ring on my fixture was stuck. It came loose with a pipe wrench. Put some grease at install to avoid problems in the future. Otherwise, the unit itself installed easily. Tip: The cartridge fits 2 ways, but the hot side is typically on the left. If your's is the other way around the temperature control operates backwards, simply take the cartridge out and rotate 180 degrees. Once everything was back together, the control worked well with no leaks, but maximum flow was somewhat lower than before, and the temperature control felt a little bit more sticky, but that got fixed with some grease. I am considering to buy another one to be prepared when this one wears out. These Delta controls are known to have a very limited life span.

It probably took me a total of 45 minutes to replace my valve for only the cost of the part and that includes gathering the tools and cleaning the lime deposits on my fixtures. I will say that they sent an attachment that I had to remove because that part on my shower assembly was behind something that would only come off by major plumbing work. The leak in my shower stopped.

Product seemed to work well and stopped leak but after 3 months this cartridge began to leak. Buy the delta brand for longevity.

This product delivered on-time and looks exactly like the replacement. I wanted everyone to know to plan ahead and be ready to spend some time getting the bonnet nut loose. I used channel locks but probably not the best thing. I would recommend one of the belt straps. The channel locks tended to bind where it gripped. Also, be ready to use some lubricating oil (PB BLaster) on the bonnet nut. It took 3 times and letting it soak overnight before I could make the bonnet nut move. Alternatively, maybe order the bonnet nut too and be prepared to cut it off. After getting the nut off, assembly was easy. I pulled the back assembly with needle nose pliers. Then pushed the new in by hand. Front assembly was easy to push in. Refastened bonnet nut and tightened first by hand and then some (just snugged) by using the channel locks. No leaks after install. Happy happy happy.

The part was just what is said it was and worked like a charm a little wait for the delivery but COVID when requested a delivery date and tracking number they were quick and courteous and received part a day earlier than promised definitely use them again

After only 3 months of use, I dont get sufficient Hot water anymore. I attempted to adjust the flow of hot water per instructions, with no change. I even went so far as to remove the hot water safety stop to try and get sufficient hot water in to the mix, but that did not work either. It was a wasted 60 bucks to order this... better to have paid for the original Delta replacement to begin with.Do yourself a favor, dont try to save a few bucks, just order the original valve!

Bought this as a aftermarket replacement for the Delta cartridge. Plumber warned me about not using aftermarket. Ignored him. Paid the price after 10 weeks. Cartridge never fit perfectly, was always harder to turn the handle with this cartridge, failed and broke into pieces. Ended up costing me 2x to have it replaced with the OEM.
