I had a 2 x 8 runner rug that I needed to hold in place and so I listed these rug corner tapes to try to keep it down. Shockingly I was able to keep the rug in place with just four adhesive pieces from this kit, one in each corner. I expected to have to use more in the middle, but just by pulling the rug tight before applying the second side and having someone step on the other end, this rug tape has held the rug in place perfectly well and I've had no issues with it curling up.

I recently tried the Stable Grippers Original Design by Tikfoam for my rugs, and they’ve been good but have loosened up over time. The side that sticks to the floor is removable and leaves no residue, which is great for my wooden and laminate floors. When it’s time to clean underneath, I can easily lift the rug with the grippers attached and then put it back without any hassle.The one issue I had was with one particular rug. After a few days it would come loose and lose it's grip causing the rug to shift. I ended up cleaning the rubber bottom of the rug with alcohol. This helped to to stick more securely and hasn't come loose yet.I also appreciate that these grippers are washable and reusable. I can simply clean them with a damp towel, and they regain their adhesive properties after drying. This means I won’t have to replace them frequently, making them a cost-effective option in the long run.The instructions for use are straightforward. Foremost I appreciated that upon opening the package it was clear how to use these. There are some directions on the back of the package but not necessary if you have household common sense (clean the rug, clean the floor).The corner adhesives even state "this part goes to the rug" so it can't get easier. Peeling off the film was easy to expose the adhesive, and I will say that the adhesive TO the rug side is about 3x the strength of the to the FLOOR side. Likely this is because the company wants you to be able to clean under the rug and that is why some people may experience shifts in the rug. But I agree with the company to error on less adhesive attaching to the floor so that floors are not damaged.I used these for a rug runner where there are no kids or dogs running. It should last a while, and it has improved over the rug gripper pads I had there that weren't doing their job at all. I also like that this vendor gives you right angles for the corners of the rug unlike some companies that make you lay two pieces to form a right angle.Low smell if at all--totally appreciated that! With 8 pieces there's enough for two rugs.

The Tikfoam Rug Non Slip Grippers is one of those products where you go "Where has this been all my life?!"I'm sure most people have tried double sided carpet tape at some point in their lives, and I'm sure that like me they eventually regretted their decision. Sure, it holds most of the time, but when it doesn't, or you want to move or replace the carpet it's a nightmare. Even if you do get it off relatively easily ( a rarity in my experience) it almost always leaves behind a sticky residue that takes a ton of elbow grease to remove.This product is the best of both worlds. It holds the carpet in place strongly and securely but allows you to either reposition or remove the carpet and fastener without any residue or damage. It's simply a matter of clean both areas to be fastened, peel, and stick. One side is labeled to ensure the proper side is being used in the proper place. And viola', you now have a carpet that stays in place BUT can be re-positioned or removed altogether with absolutely zero issues.As such it's such a simple, yet very effective product, there's not really too much else to say. Would I order these carpet fasteners again should the need arise? Absolutely and without a doubt. Would I recommend them to others? Definitely and absolutely.A+++++

These are only getting three stars from me because they're not as removable as they say. When I took my rug up to wash it, some of the grippers stuck on the floor, others remained stuck to the rug, and a few more that remained on the floor did so with chunks of the back of the rug stuck to it. Yes, they tore the backing of my rug. After soaking these in warm water for several hours, it was still an ordeal to get the rug backing off of the grippers. I ended up just throwing the rug away and luckily I had another one to put in its place.Now I will say these grippers work very well. Once in place and set, they don't move whatsoever which means neither does the rug. But the 'reusable' feature was at the top of the list of reasons I chose these. If anything, seeing reusable made me thing they'd be less reliable than others I've used. I was wrong in that regard I slid my bed away from the wall and the rug is half under the bed and the rug stayed still while the bed moved. I've never had that happen before, some part ot the rug would always bunch up.All that said, I personally wouldn't get them again, but if you have no plans on moving your rug after it's been placed, I would recommend these. IF you want something you can rinse off and reuse, these ain't it!
