I haven't tested it at 50 amps prolonged, but honestly I have no doubt it can handle it. This thing is WAY too heavy to not be made of quality wire. As my other reviews for such adapters, you should probably not be using this if you don't understand electrical basics. If you try to use this to run two ovens simultaneously from the same outlet, you're going to at best pop a breaker and at worse set your house on fire. But in my case, I have a 14-50 50amp EV charging outlet in the garage, which I use to charge my car at 240v 13 amps. I wanted to also be able to run a 120v 20 amp welder and a 120v 10 amp window AC (on opposite legs using a separate adapter connected to this) off the same outlet (though rarely all at the same time). I can achieve that with this. I've been using it for months and have had no issues, but I rarely draw over 30 amps from it total across both outlets. If you use it properly, it'll save you having to install more outlets.

This 50Amp NEMA 14-50 Y Splitter Adapter Cord is a handy and cheap way to split power from 14-50P plugs into two 14-50R outlets. I used it to split an outlet between an oven outlet and a Tesla EV charger at an AirBnB rental so I could charge there. This is a great plug to have with your mobile EV charging cables. The cord has heavy-duty construction with a pull handle for removal of the plugs. The cord has thick insulation and feels of high quality materials to make it resistant to wear and overheating, providing peace of mind during operation. Its compact Y-splitter design minimizes clutter and maximizes accessibility, especially in tight spaces. The only downside is that you must manually confirm that both lines are NOT in use at the same time or you will overload the circuit, wiring and breaker. That can cause melting and a popped breaker and a fire IF the breaker fails to pop off. You MUST use this with extreme caution if you try to share the circuit this way.Bottom Line: This can be an inexpensive way to share an oven outlet without the wear and tear of constantly removing and swapping cords, but you must be sure the devices are NOT in use at the same time. For a little more money you can get a switch that will ensure they are not used at the same time. I recommend this splitter for the quality of the product, with a caution to use it properly.

This Y-cable appears to be a true 6 gauge wire, although I didn't destroy it to verify. However it is beefy, and has some weight, therefore I do assume that it is what they claim! The ends are decent quality, and they all mate up well without issues. The handle is a little flimsy, and probably will not handle a good tug without separation - so be careful with that.Bought this so I wouldn't have to constantly unplug one welder to plug in the second one. Very handy for that! Not exactly NEC complaint, but if you know the limitations - this is a convent hack around your workshop. An adapter like this is not increasing your amp draw on your main circuit - keep that in mind. Just because you have two plugs, does not mean you can pull two 50 amp draws from a single 50 amp circuit. It technically would be 25 amps each, 30/20, etc. As long as the two plugs combined do not exceed the 50 amp draw.

This thing is built like a tank. It is a great thing to have. I don't have to switch the outlet between 2 different EV chargers. Obviously, you can't use them at full power, so you can't exceed a total of 40 continuous amps. It would be better to just use one or another.I have a Tesla and another EV plugged into this and just alternate which to use. All in a solid 5 stars and a great value. I have another I used on another outlet and it worked the same but was twice as much.

This RV Y adapter cord has been very useful. I’m using it to support both my table saw and welder, and it handles the load perfectly. The 50 Amp to two 50 Amp design provides plenty of power, and the grip handles make it easy to plug and unplug. The cord is really big and heavy-duty, which is exactly what I needed for my tools. The 6/3+8/1 gauge wire feels durable and reliable, and it’s reassuring to know it’s ETL listed for safety. For the price, it’s a fantastic value and has been working well for my needs. Highly recommend it.

Super thick cables, super heavy duty. This allows me more options for my NEMA 14-50 outlet, as long as I watch the amperage limit. I have a 15 amp snowblower and now I no longer need to unplug my car charger (since I already have a 14-50 to household 120v adapter) since I want to limit the unplugging/replugging that outlet.Tip: FIRST connect the two output connections BEFORE attaching to your 14-50 outlet, because they are extremely tight connections and you don't want to inadvertently touch the big prongs while pushing.

The RV Y adapter cord, rated at 50 amps, lived up to its advertisement. I had no problems using it to connect both my RV and big truck to my single 50 amp power supply. The construction of the cord appears to be sturdy, and though I haven't examined it internally, the thickness of the wire appears that it is designed to handle a 50 amp load.

This thing weighs a ton. It's very robust and I have no doubt it will carry the 50a it needs to safely. The connectors are solid and the molding is good. It's a pretty simple device so not much to say about it other than it does it's job if you need to split off a NEMA 14-50 connector into two.Obviously, don't try to draw 100a through it and you'll be fine.I'll update the review if it burns up prematurely.
