We bought a house that has a 50amp outlets that were used with RVs at tw different ends of the our ljuge driveway ... we don't have any need for them, but plenty of need for power for various things that I run extension cords all over ... well this adapter allows me to eliminate dragging cords from the garage essentially halfing the length of the cord. Works perfectly, with a circuit breakers built in ... and the capacity of this adapter exceeds my needs greatly ... but allows me to get more things done with fewer cords, and make use of these exterior outlets.
