This is not a flea comb. Teeth are too thick and not close enough together. Makes a good comb for a short haired cat. Expensive for what it is. NOT a flea comb unless your fleas are the size of peas.

I needed a new flea comb and I found plastic ones don’t work well. I saw this one with the metal tines and thought it would be like the old comb I needed to replace. When it arrived I noticed the tines were too widely spaced and a flea could pass right through. I tried it on my dogs and it went through their hair like a regular hair comb, it removed some dead hair. Fortunately they don’t have fleas now and I have time to look for a better comb. Too much trouble to return so I will use it for just combing them.

Love the wooden handle and the metal teeth that are very durable and small enough to get to the undercoat of my 3 cats. No fleas but it will remove them if they are hiding in the undercoat. Great price & quality. Will order again.

I had previously given this comb a 5 star review but I was wrong. What arrived was not the flea comb pictured. In the picture, the prongs were close together. In reality they are separated. Not good for picking up fleas and tics. I hate it when people are dishonest like they are here. Will be returning. Buyer beware. 0 STARS!!!!

Just buy a cheep one this is not a better quality. It just has a wood handle.
