I only use paper tape in the corners now. This is easy to use, like mesh, only stronger. I'll never tape another flat seem with paper again.

Perfect tape for flat seams. Easy to install, as long as you know how to spackle. Works well on cracks in plaster and drywall I wouldn't use it on inside corners as your taping knife can tear it fairly easily.

I'm never going back to paper. I've been taping for over 40 years and this tape is a game changer. Stronger than paper, but thinner. Because the joint compound squeezes through the tape, you can get the tape super flat to the drywall and no chance of air bubbles. Also, if you happen to hit the tape lightly when sanding, no problem, it doesn't show through the primer, because the tape is saturated with joint compound. This particular tape is the regular tape, suitable for butt joints and compression edge, but don't use this for corners, your knife will tear it. Fibafuse makes a different tape for corners, it has thicker blue plastic cross strands. That is also excellent and now I use that instead of paper on the inside corners. Both tapes are suitable for your bazooka if you're using that. The only downsides are, you can't hold the tape in your mouth, the glass is abrasive. This tape you can tear with your taping knife, or bazooka, but the blue tape for corners you'll need to use scissors or a utility knife.

This stuff is great at sticking to plaster and making things strong it does its job pretty well BUT!! Please be aware there are teeny tiny fragments of fiber glass in here and if you don’t wear gloves when applying it can hurt so bad!! Feels like tiny little cuts everywhere. Some contractors probably know this already but for us regular folks now you know!! Be WARNED. It’s great stuff though!!

Much easier to apply than paper tape, and much easier to cover than mesh. Tape is lighter weight-wise than paper and mesh, and easy to rip straight with a taping knife.Do not confuse with FibaTape, which is a mesh tape. FibaFuse is the way to go.

Used this on gypsum board/drywall/sheetrock and it seems to be way easier than the old bug screen looking tape to sand away.

Live in an old building (1910) so I tried this product to fix a pesky crack that kept re-opening along the top beveled edge of a wooden baseboard with electric heater attached that kept triggering the heater on cold days. Was an awkward spot to patch and it worked out real well, it looks like a brand new baseboard! You can almost sculpt with it as it's more dense substrate than mesh, yet medium moves through it likewise and it will take the form you shape. NOTE: It is stiffer and more solid than I thought it would be, so it's necessary to add a bit more water to the mud -- I wish I had watched YT reviews and knew that before I started. One star off because it is fiberglass and will get into your skin and make you itchy and irritated. Highly recommend gloves, long sleeves, eye and breathing protection.
