This product is a waste of money because it didn’t improve my grass at all. My aerator that punches holes in the grass and removes them is cheaper and works ten times better.

This aerator is very heavy and has all metal components. It’s easy to use the spring-loaded function is strong and effective. The head is large enough to put a shoe with a boot on it and it covers a fair amount of ground for what it is. My lawn needs aeration twice a year or else it develops bare patches and I have to reseed to make it look nice again. My single gripe about this one is that the spikes probably don’t do enough to actually aerate the soil. Normally aerators pull a plug of soil about the diameter of a dime from the lawn. This allows air and water to get to the roots, stimulating growth. This one, however, has spikes that are no larger than a very thick nail piercing the soil and not pulling anything out. After using it I didn’t see much of a positive effect on the lawn but I will keep using it to see if it helps.

I meannn it works, I can’t really use it because of how much force it requires. I have to have my husband do it but I guess it helps. It definitely does something but based on how hard it is for me to use I’m not thrilled about it. I think the concept is good but our soil might just be extra compacted. I have to jump on it like it’s a pogo stick which I doubt wa show it was intended to be used.
