Worked as advertised. Installed it on Ubuntu found drivers and drives showed up no issues

Dropped it into my UnRaid server, plugged in my drives and booted up with no issues.Runs very hot. If you use this in a tower style case you may want to drop a 40mm fan on the heat sink to cool it. The design for this card is expecting you to use this in a rack mount case with massive air flow.

I'm extremely disappointed you would send this to customers. I expect this from sketchy ebay sellers but not amazon. First, within the first 30 seconds of boot booting this card I notice it was exceptionally hot. So I shut down and checked the heat-sink and there was hardly any thermal paste at all. Second if you take a look at the picture attached you can clear see in this cards previous life it became so hot it melted not only the solder but the copper traces off the board. This card is defective. I should have just purchased a better 16i from ebay.

Just does the job it is supposed to do (connect SAS/SATA devices in IT mode) with zero drama.If you've dealt with SAS controllers before, you may know that this is not a given. Highly recommended.

seems to get the max speed of these spin drives, fits in pci 8x or pci 16x slot, plugged and played not a single configuration needed coming from motherboard sata plugs. btfrs unraid 2 drive parity. no long term knowledge of reliability yet.

worked perfectly for my unRAID server build, came packed well, and had zero issues so far after a month of using 7 of the 8 drive connectors.
