About this item

  • LASTING PERFORMANCE: Ultra fine finishing action outperforms steel wool for cleaning, blending, prepping and finishing on metal, wood, plastics and composites
  • DESIGNED TO PERFORM CLEAN: Performs like steel wool grade 00 without shredding, rusting, or splintering
  • DURABILITY WITH FLEXABILITY: Pad conforms to irregular surfaces and gets into corners without losing performance
  • WORKS WITHOUT ALTERING MATERIAL DIMENSIONS: Cleans metal, composites, and other materials without altering the base material
  • CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE OVER TIME: Load and heat resistant nonwoven web provides consistent finishing over the life of the pad
  • For industrial/occupational use only. Not for consumer sale or use

The Scotch-Brite Ultra Fine Pro Hand Pad 7448 combines durability for long life, flexibility for reaching tight areas, and can be used in place of steel wool for conditioning metal surfaces and paint prep. Unlike fine steel wool, Scotch-Brite pads will not shred during use, rust after use, or leave fine metal splinters. The durable open-web construction of the Scotch-Brite Ultra Fine Hand Pad is load resistant, offers long life and consistent abrasive action for cleaning, finishing and buffing with no need to adjust, turnover, or continue the same project with a new hand pad. The hand pad gets into corners and works detailed surfaces without altering the dimensions of the base material. The Scotch-Brite Ultra Fine Hand Pad can be used right out of the box by hand, paired with a hand pad block, or run on an in-line sander for faster completion on larger areas. Recommended applications include scuffing, cleaning and surface preparation.

Easily buffs out small scratches on Corian countertops. I had renters in my condo for 15 years and I don't think cutting boards were used very often! The counters looked dull from so many fine scratches.I cut one pad in half and used it on two bathroom countertops, kitchen and bar, and there's no sign of wear on the pad and the counters look so much better.

If you are doing clear coat repair, this is the exact product that you want to use to sand off damaged clear coat. Purchased after watching several reputable paint & body YouTubers used the same product.

I had some stainless steel scuppers that were starting to rust. I called the manufacturer and they recommended this product. I bought it and used quite a bit of elbow grease and was sure to scrub in the direction of the grain. It took all the dark spots that were appearing on the metal and removed them. The stainless steel looks brand new again. I will for sure continue to use this product.

I use this stuff as a finish polishing operation on painted car parts. A light pressure rubbing with this product and it's ready to be finished up with polishing compound for a great looking paint job. Very satisfied!

Used these Ultra Fine pads with some Hope's Perfect Sink polishing liquid on a Corian countertop. It did a beautiful job, although you would need to start with Fine if your countertop has scratches you are trying to remove.

This is the perfect product for brushed stainless watch straps. My 6 year old Omega Seamaster GMT which has been regularly warn, started to show scratches and dulling on the links and clasp. After a few hours of patient polishing with this fine grade finisher, the watch looks like it did when I purchased it. Always apply in the same direction and use a drop or 2 of warm water when polishing for friction. Always tape between the polished and brushed areas so you’re not polishing the polished links. You only want to use this on the brushed steel areas. Watch manufacturers charge £550 for this process. I am genuinely astonished by the results.
