- Application: Place the fixed (left) suction cup on the left plate. Place the moveable (right) suction cup on the right plate. Pump the plunger until the suction cup is fully attached. When the red line is hidden, the vacuum is enough to lift. To join the seam, turn the side knob counter-clockwise until you're satisfied with a seamless appearance. To balance the plates, make sure one of the blue heads is under the top knob on the higher side of the seam and turn the top knob clockwise until the plates are balanced. Usually all you need is a top button to balance. Use two if there are any expansion needs. Lift the rubber tab on the edge of the suction cup to release the suction cup when the stitching is complete.

I am very happy with the product and it works very well! They did Supply one hand grip wrap around for one of the pieces but the other one was missing that hand grip which does not affect the use of the product. I have used it several times now and they work perfectly. Since they come as a two-piece set it would have been nice to have just one carrying container for both instead of two separate. But either way it's nice to have a storage for them. They were delivered in a timely fashion right when I needed them.

Suction cups are an impressive 7 inch diameter and a release switch built in. I like having the functionality of all the set screws and the rigidity provided by the dual rods. Most of the machine is metal and has a decent amount of weight to it.But they sent me a damaged unit with badly beaten metal and a bent handle. The adjustable joints are not aligned and the unit bends at most 20 degrees. The set screws are overtightened to the point the provided allen keys cannot loosen them and are stripping. This is not an easy machine to install. I am either going to need a power drill to release these set screws or settle on returning this machine because it will not work for any seam.

Like the other reviewer said, this does NOT come with the protective covers shown in the photos. Shipped in two individual cardboard boxes in some bubble wrap. The boxes were wrapped in a plastic bag so it would arrive as one unit. Half of the set screws are flat out missing and the rest were loose in the box. I will probably return this seam setter because I hate false advertisement.

This set of suction cups complete with case lifts a decent size piece of glass safely and can even work with porcelain, tile or stainless steel. Recommended for utility.
