This seedling heat mat is easy to use (there are no controls! You just plug it in!) and rolls up pretty easily for storage. It is noticeably warmer than ambient temperature when plugged in, but not "hot" to the touch (wouldn't be good for keeping food at serving temp).As it's still a ways out from growing season in my area, I've been using it to help with bread baking! In winter, I've found that my house is a bit chilly for sourdough (why it won't just put on a sweater, I don't know! ;) ) so I had to give up my starter a few year ago. This mat has changed things!! With a new starter in hand, I use this mat under a bowl for the initial bulk fermentation to keep the yeast happy and under a sheet pan after shaping and have had really great results!I'm looking forward to using it on seeds in another month or so.

not what most people think of as a use for these but it's not the season for planting yet so I am putting it to use until then and it's working great for this.
