This heating mat set is nice with multiple trays, as both mats are connected via a single power cord. Great if you're using smart-plugs to automate your heating and want to save outlet space. The dimples on the mat help prevent things from sliding around too much. They heat up fairly quickly, and seem to stay a pretty consistent temperature.

I got these mats to help with initial germination of seeds. While I live in Florida and do not really need them for seed starting most of the year, it will be helpful to start seeds inside with A/C. This is useful in the dead heat of summer when the garage is too hot, but the house is too cool. Also in the coldest times when the garage is colder than ideal.I really like that the mats link together - allows for 2 mats and just one plug. They warmed up pretty quickly and seemed to provide a good heat level. I tested them with the standard larger sized tray and they fit perfectly. similarly, two of the smaller ones can fit as well onto one mat.All in all, it appears to be a good set of seedling mats that will serve us well in our germination efforts.

When you can provide warmth from the bottom of your seed tray, the seeds just about jump out of the soil they are so excited to start growing. This heating pad is large enough to encourage a lot of six packs to get your garden started early. What used to be my sewing room is quickly becoming my baby plants room. I am so happy with this I may be starting seeds for all my neighbors.

These heat up evenly, though there is no thermometer so you need to keep an eye on it that it is not drying out your seedlings too quickly. I am growing in a basement that stays pretty cool all year, so am glad to have these. The mats are not expandable to beyond these two, you can not link a third. And you can not use these two mats separately, only one plugs into an outlet. I think I would get the less expensive mats that have separate plugs if I buy more.

This review is for, "Seedling Heat Mats Linkeable Mutiple Pads 21W Waterproof Heating Pad for Hydroponics Plant Germination Tray Seed Starting,Daisy Chain 2 Pack" By HigoroMy Mother in Law always uses heat mats to get her seedlings going early but I live in a very different zone. Still, this year I decided to give them a try. These are very much like hers. Heavy duty and waterproof, they get nicely warm. Since it doesn't snow here, I may also tie in a thermostat/regulator, I'm not sure. I put a test pony pack in a tray on the mat and left it overnight. The soil (and tray) was warm but not hot, so I think this may do just fine on it's own. The construction and materials are good and I appreciate the ability to daisy-chain them, it means one less plug into the power strip.

This two pack of seedling heat mats is enough to do 2 flats of 10x20 trays. These are essential during winter time for successful propagation of seeds. They do not come with the thermostat. The mats are durable and made out of a vinyl material. They should be easy to wipe off and clean fast. The temperature is not too hot to kill your sprouts. They have it set just right. These can fit on a metal rack to go vertical with your sprout trays. Overall, a good deal for a two pack of mats.

I usually start some seeds indoors during the winter. I'm looking to increase the amount that I start indoors this Winter so these are exactly what I needed to increase my capacity. These warming mats are a necessity for successfully starting your own seeds. They greatly increase your germination rate. These are excellent quality. They are built to last for years. They can easily be placed on a wire shelving unit for ease of use. Add some grow lights and you have a great indoor growing environment to get your plants started right.
