2/2/2025 Final Update with 5 Stars!Customer service is AMAZING. They sent a new litter box with deodorizers and they were so helpful and kind the entire process. So far, so good! I will update if there are any issues but I feel confident that if I run in to any, the customer service team and Co-founder Leon will take care of it. I will definitely buy again!! (Review updated)10/20/2024So far, I’ve had this product for a week. Taking it out of the package, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I downloaded the app & I was able to get the automatic litter box connected to my wifi & the app immediately. It came with litter, but I put in a clumping litter my cats like as this would be something new for them & I wanted to provide some sense of normalcy. My very large 18 pound orange cat who is pretty timid, got in right away & did his business! His sister followed suit immediately after. I decided to auto clean it & watch it with them, so they know it’s okay. This thing does a THOROUGH job! It will take a while (typically less than 5 minutes) because it truly gets every inch of the litter box. It is a little noisy, but that’s not a problem for me. The cats were a little scared of it cleaning, but that didn’t last long & eventually turned into them being waiting around after doing their business to watch it clean. It’s taken a week for the container that holds the soiled litter to fill up, and there is no smell.Pros:-Big enough for 2 cats, 1 being very large-Easy to use app that lets you know when your cat is in the box, how long, when it’s being cleaned. I LOVE THE APP. You can set up an auto clean at any time, once a day, or even more frequent. You can turn off the cleaning at night (which I think is great for not overrunning the motor or if this has to be placed near the owner when sleeping)-You can use various types of litter with it-No smell-Thorough cleaning job-Long power cord-Weight sensor that would stop any cleaning in progress if your cat enters or is still in the box during a planned ahead clean-Control of auto cleans & how quickly it cleans after being usedCons:-I have a 2 year old cat that’s on the smaller side, sometimes tiny poop or pee goes between the rakes & therefore does not get picked up (this is not a deal breaker for me)Overall, I am VERY satisfied with this. I wanted an open litter box that was large, had an app, a large container to hold the soiled litter, & a sensor that would stop the box from cleaning if my cats were inside, & I truly believe this box gave me everything & more. I will be sure to update this review if anything changes. If you’re on the fence… I highly suggest it! I can’t believe I didn’t make the switch sooner!

I’ve used clay-based litter and the machine had a hard time at max-levels, but a good median between min & max does a job well done. It’s a little loud when cleaning, but gets everything and is super safe. I recommend using a different litter in the long run, app is easy to use. Would buy again, not giving it 5-star because of noise, not terrible but definitely something that could wake you up at night.Update:NO LONGER SELLS BAGS FOR THE LITTERBOX

I recently brought the magic scoop self cleaning cat litter box and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Previously, I had a dome-style self-cleaning litter box. While the manufacturer claimed it could accommodate large cats up to 20lbs, my 18 lb Siberian struggled with it. There were times when he would remain inside the dome, but unfortunately, his business would end up outside—not exactly ideal!Wanting a better solution, I decided to try the open Self-Cleaning Litter Box. I paced it in the basement as the backup. To my surprise, it exceeded my expectations—especially given its price! My cat instantly preferred this one over the dome box, which cost twice as much.The cleaning mechanism works efficiently and thoroughly, leaving behind a smooth, wave-like litter surface that feels fresh and clean after each cycle. It’s been a stress-free experience for both me and my cat. The waste compartment does a great job of sealing in odors, and I’ve noticed far less litter tracking around the litter box.One area where the MagicScoop is more basic is the mobile app. My previous dome litter box came with a app with a lot of features. But after the initial excitement of using the app wore off, I realized that simple is better. The MagicScoop app does exactly what I need—it accurately detects when my cat enters and leaves the box and reminds me when the litter runs low. It may not have fancy graphs or detailed reports, but in the end, it just works reliably, and that’s what matters most.Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. It’s a great value for the price, especially for larger cats who need a comfortable litter box. Pain in the butt to make the app work on my android phone. After that the thing has been running by itself for a week, cat is using it and we've been doing alright. Cat doesn't like the cat litter that comes with the machine. I've been entering the machine while running to make sure it'll stop; I'd say it stops 9 out of 10 times, fortunately it's slow moving and the parts pop off, so I feel confident enough to leave my 16 lb cat with it. I would not leave a kitten with this machine. The material is very non stick, makes life much easier. Smell is little unless cat doesn't cover poop. Needs a lot of space to set up, but it fits my 16 lb cat and that was my biggest concern; cat is chunky, cat needs space, not a dainty little box.The only thing I didn't like was that, if waste is dropped in a straight line perpendicular to the sweep, the waste gets stuck on the sweep. You can unclog it easy, it's just not great of you aren't keeping an eye on it daily.

Only been using it for a couple of weeks, but I’m loving it, I still have regular litter boxes and the electronic and my kitties like both so hopefully going to go to all electronics so that if I have to go away for a weekend, I’ve got an automatic water dish. I’ve got an automatic feeder and now an automatic litter . Got to have everything perfect for my babies.
