I rarely use checks anymore. But, my bank changed routing numbers, and I needed some new checks for the few things I still use checks for. To my horror, the default, super-cheap checks my bank sent me (as they make you buy from them the first time) weren't the blue or green safety paper I'd come to love. They were... DUPLICATE CHECKS!For the first few months, a span of 2 checks, I had to push the ballpoint hard enough to make a copy on the duplicate, but light enough so that I didn't screw up all the checks beneath it. But this is a difficult balance, and sometimes I was worried about getting sloppy. Worrying about sloppy pressure messes up my penmanship, and my penmanship is my life. When it comes to checks. People judge you by how you write out your checks. Cursive? Print? Slanted to the left like a southpaw? Slanted to the right, which looks much better? What do I do with that line that I use after the written-out amount--do I make little curls in it, little loops, or make it straight? What do I write on the memo line? How can I be expected to deal with all of that when I'm trying to press just hard enough to only make one duplicate?Enter this thing. Years ago, I had duplicate checks, and they gave me one of these protector divider things. But that was 20 years and 4 banks ago. My new bank didn't think I needed one, but they were and are wrong. This plastic divider is everything you could ask for in a plastic divider for checkbooks. You flip the flap out and place it behind the duplicate sheet of the check you're writing, and then you can press as hard as you like--this plastic divider doesn't care. Its pleasure comes from serving your duplicate check writing needs. I'm sure there are scientific explanations for how these wonders were created, but as far as I'm concerned, it's pure magic. The Clear Checkbook Protector Divider Inserts for Duplicate Checks changed my life. And I got two of them, so really, it's changing my life twice. Or changing my life and my wife's life. There's so much life changing going on that I can't even keep track anymore. If you have a checkbook and you use duplicate checks, buy this item. Even if you don't use duplicate checks, this is neat to have and will likely impart happy energy into all of your personal checking endeavors. And if you don't use checks at all, still, buy this item.

The funny thing is that Amazon is apologizing and telling me this order will be arriving late...but in fact it arrived early 4 days ago! Very happy with this purchase. The second set I've purchased -- now for a different checkbook than the first. If you use duplicate checks, you won't want to be without them. It's nice that they come in a 2-pack. I use one on the duplicate check side of the checkbook and the other on the check register side as a register placeholder instead of a large paper clip. Neat and tidy without added bulk! Would not go back to the way I used to do it! These are good quality, flexible plastic inserts -- not thin, shiny or brittle and I doubt they will discolor the way that the standard duplicate flaps do that come permanently attached to many checkbook covers.

Didn't know anyone made something like this. So nice to replace the cracked plastic protector that was "built-in" to my leather checkbook cover which I have had for many years. I had taped and re-taped it so many times it was ridiculous. Basically it cracked because the edge of duplicate checks was tight up against where it was attached to the checkbook cover. I wasn't about to replace my leather cover with a cheap vinyl cover just because the duplicate check protector was shot. I think I paid $7 years ago for the leather cover. It was well worth it and still like new. I don't use many checks now because I pay most bills online but still do write checks occasionally. Fits perfectly in my cover, not sloppy or tight. It also gives me plenty of room to lift the next check to be able to slide the protector under the check, unlike the original attached one. Two of these should last me many years since the vinyl appears to be good quality.

Wasn't in the mood for buying a checkbook but needed something to write my duplicate checks in. The two pack of these checkbook dividers work great and am able to write checks without having to wedge a piece of paper between the duplicate checks.

I use duplicate checks…(yes. I still use paper checks!) This product was a great find! My checkbook’s plastic protector for writing duplicate checks had torn off after many years of use. I was having a difficult time using the loose plastic page. I took a shot and looked on Amazon for a replacement. I found these! Three arrived in the package. I tossed the loose piece of plastic and inserted on of the protector sleeves in my checkbook and I’m back in business writing my duplicate paper checks!

The duplicate check dividers I got from my financial institution finally broke. This was hard to find, but is doing the job.

I changed banks and my new bank gave me duplicating checks. You know, the ones with the automatic carbons. I ruined about half a dozen checks before I realized I needed this. Bought it, put it in the checkbook, works great. Wish my new bank had thought to give me one last May.
