This checkbook cover is excellent. It is very well made. The material has an excellent, soft feel.I got the red brick because I was tired of the same old black or blue. I like the color.Next time I need a checkbook cover I'm getting this brand.

So, I got this because it was cheap. At the time under $8. I have honestly never really had a checkbook before, let alone a checkbook cover. HaHowever, I do have some nitpicks.To me, the first image is how the “front†should be. The elastic on top. However, when I open it this way, the checkbook is on the left hand side, this seems wrong to me? Maybe it’s not, but more like a book, where the checkbook would be on the right, seems like the way it *should* be.Honestly, I don’t care *that* much but I’m already a little annoyed by it. LolI tried to put my Pentel RSVP pen in, and it does not close. I saw on another review that even a basic barrel pen will not allow the book to close.Overall it’s pretty flimsy. I wouldn’t love writing in it without a table or book underneath. But it could be done.I don’t use checks THAT much, but where I moved they want checks all the time and this is easier for me to have my own, instead of having the bank mail one.In any case, I think it’s fine for an $8 item. It’s just gonna go in my purse and stay there until I need it really. Once a month? Lol which is more than I’ve ever needed checks.I don’t think I would purchase this one again, but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money right now on them.- The color is pretty, it’s as expected for the aqua blue ish color. I bought my husband a black one. Which also seems fine.- The stitching seems… ok. My blue one has a very light blue thread, the black has black thread and is much less noticeable. (Not an issue for me either way, so not bad nor good, a personal preference thing.) the stitching may become untied where shown.- The elastic seems fine? But I don’t really see it ever having to do a lot of work.My checkbook has 20 checks in it. I could see it holding at least a 50 check checkbook just fine (if there is such a thing?).
