I ordered this to use a 3" Core drill bit with my 1/2" impact drill. The 5/8"-11 threads thread snuggly into my 3" Core drill and make a tight fit. However, the 1/2" hex shank is ever so slightly larger than what my drill will accept. Not sure if my drill has a slightly smaller clearance or if the 1/2" hex is machined slightly too large. Before purchasing I did some research to confirm and hex shanks should have worked in my drill.3 stars due to this as the product is now not something I can use unless I purchased an even larger drill. Your experience may differ or if you have a larger capacity drill this should work well for you. Unfortunately, for 1/2" drills and under I can't recommend based on my experience.The bit seems well made and sturdy however and the threads went smoothly into my core bit.

There are times when I am working in a limited space and have needed to use my 5/8"-11 angle grinder attachments with a drill motor. This Pro-Graad 5/8"-11 thread to 1/2" hex shank hardened alloy steel drill adapter is a great answer to fill this requirement.This drill adapter has an overall good build design. It is made out of a single piece of alloy hardened steel that will hold up to most working conditions. The 5/8-11 threads are excellent. The hexagonal shank keeps this adapter from slipping in a drill chuck.All of my angle grinder attachments mount on this adapter without issue.I recommend the Pro-Graad 5/8"-11 thread to 1/2" hex shank hardened alloy steel drill adapter.
