What I liked is the fact that it works with our new shed doors and the fact that this latch set comes complete with three keys for the keyed handle. Couldn't be happier. The metal is decidedly not flimsy, this is a quality product. The only thing I had to do for the install other than just stick the rod through the hole in the face of the right had door was to use a forester bit to slightly enlarge the existing hole so that the handle could seat firmly inside the door frame. From much past experience I have learned to use a drill bit to make an impression on the rod to hold the tip of the set screw for the latching portion of the set on the inside of the door to keep the latch from loosening up over time. Very happy with the purchase. Happier still with my new shed that replaces our old one that a drunk driver took out after driving through our fence one late night and leaving his pickup imbedded in our shed before running off into the night. Yeah. he was caught.

I had to replace my original latch- found this one on amazon and it works great. It was easy to install and a great quality. Functions well with my shed door and was a great price. It comes with 4 keys to lock it.

Why on earth the big box hardware stores don’t carry these, is beyond me. I would suspect they would be a special order item, but crazy expensive for basically the same thing.Adding a 2nd door to our storage shed, and needed a locking handle. I thought about getting a pair of them, with only one key to work on both.But figured I wouldn’t have both sides open all time. So, I found this one with pretty good reviews.It does the job. The lock is a smooth operator with the keys. Once the handle is put together, it feels loose — even after tightening it. Might reassemble with some thread locker later. The set screws seem to be really soft metal. Cranking on them to tighten them up feels like they will strip.The spindle seems shorter than what I ordered. I had difficulty getting it to clear the door frame. Extending it out just about as far as it could go did finally work with some frame modifications. But then it doesn’t feel all that sturdy.For the price, I’m fairly satisfied. We’ll keep an eye on it to determine its longevity.

I used this to build a skid steer door. The latch is to secure door from either side. Works well and easy to install.
