My shower head has a super powerful water flow, which hurts my skin. I bought this so I could turn back the water flow so I could stand beneath the showerhead and enjoy my shower I like being able to then turn up the water volume when I need to rinse my hair out from hair conditioner. This shut off valve feels like very high-quality and keeps your showerhead stable while allowing smooth adjustment to water volume. I highly recommend this product.

Installed this on my RV shower so I could shut off the water while soaping up. Works fine.

easy to install. It controls the water volume easily and effectively. doesn't seal well to the shower head and required Teflon tape in addition to the rubber gasket to stop it from dripping. I question the durability. For the price it's worth it.

The valve on this thing is very very smooth in operation. The matt black finish is well done. The threading is perfect as well. I used this because my septic was having trouble keeping up with the water usage. This was my way of controlling the flow rate, and pausing the shower without losing hot water, unlike when turning the shower valve off.

I love this. After installing new pressure/temperature balanced fixtures I lost water pressure... badly. I increased my water pressure on the tub and shower (doubled it) so much that the shower dripped while filling the tub. This fixed that immediately. Now I have SUPER strong shower flow, and can quickly close the shower valve while filling the tub.

Bought another one for 2 dollars more last year. Different seller. This one works but gasket made it leak. New gasket I had and works okay for now. Next time won't be cheap. Looks exactly like the other one, but obviously not. 4 stars nonetheless.

I got this shower flow control valve because my bathtub drain does not allow the water to drain as fast as it probably should. Since I am renting at my current residence, I can't get any permanent work done to resolve the slow drainage, and other less invasive methods haven't helped a whole lot either. Instead, I use this shower flow control valve to limit the water pressure coming from the shower head, which results in less water usage and less water needing to drain over the same period of time. There is still plenty of water pressure even when I use this valve to limit it to ~50% or ~75% of normal. The other huge plus with this solution is that I don't have to explain to guests that they should turn the water pressure down. Guests typically don't even mess with anything up by the 1/2" male pipe thread. This valve never gets adjusted, and it always remains at the right setting that I left it at for max water pressure while allowing for sufficient drainage.
