I was able to find this cable in the product directory on Intel's Thunderbolt website using its model number of S3805.Additionally, while Silkland doesn't claim USB-IF certification, it appears in the USB-IF's product search under the OEM manufacturer, ACON. The XID reported in the e-marker is 2371, which leads to a TID of 7272.The outer nylon braided jacket has a very fine weave, making the cable very flexible. It's almost as bendy as a cable without. Connector shrouds aren't the absolute smallest, but are slim enough that clearance should not be an issue. It overall feels like a sturdy, and well-made cable. A velcro cable tie is included.Checking the e-marker, cable specifications match those advertised: 50V 5A 240W EPR, USB4 Gen4 / Thunderbolt 5 80Gbps. All of the required pins are passed through. Resistance on VBUS+ground is ~150 milliohms, which is on the good side of average for a 240W cable of this length.I didn't have any trouble passing data through this cable. While I don't have anything that can match the full capabilities yet, the Intel and USB-IF certifications make me confident reaching those won't be a problem. The price is a little spendy, but only slightly higher than other offerings which don't have the braided outer jacket. I think it's fair given the certs and high build quality.

I'm just going to distill this review right here: MAKE THE MOVE TO THUNDERBOLT 5! With the new Silkland 80Gbps Thunderbolt 5 Cable, I find that everything I do, from downloads, video, as well as charging my devices, is faster than ever before. As a busy tech guy, I have precious little time to waste, and now with this new cable (married to tech that can take advantage of it of course), I can get things done so much quicker now and move on to the next task. Don't balk at the price for a second, but consider the time that you'll save to be more than worth the investment. The cable itself has a high-quality protective feel to it, and makes a satisfying "CLICK" when inserted into the port, letting you know you've made a true connection. I'm upgrading all of my devices to Thunderbolt 5 and the speeds that this new tech offers and marrying them to these blazing-fast Silkland 80Gbps Thunderbolt 5 Cables. I strongly encourage you to do the same

I can’t personally verify all the 80Gbps Thunderbolt 5 speed claims, or even that it’s truly Thunderbolt 5, but I can confirm that it handles fast charging exceptionally well. The cable feels high quality, with a solid, durable build that gives confidence in its performance. While I haven’t tested data transfer speeds extensively, it’s definitely a well-made cable that delivers on power delivery without issues.I will update if I ever get a drive or something that I can fully test the speed with.

I am using this on an Apple Max Studio system running Thunderbolt 4. I plugged it in. It works. No connection issues nor performance issues, in fact it may have fixed a heretofore undetected system performance issue caused by the cable it replaced. The build quality looks good to me; certainly one of the nicer thunderbolt cables I have had in the last ten or fifteen years. Assuming it lasts as it appears it should this will be a very good value.

I don't have any Thunderbolt 5 devices...yet. That said this cable supports the entire gamut of features and functionality that I've been able to test with both USB 4 and Thunderbolt 4 so I have no fear that this wouldn't work with Thunderbolt 5 full specs. The charging speed, quality, and value of this are phenomenal. I'd highly recommend it.

This is the perfect sized cable for portability or a clean looking desk space.Being a thunderbolt cable, this has multiple uses. I have mine attached from my hub to my monitor. The short cable makes it looks so clean. The size is also perfect for those on the go. Transferring data from your device to a hard drive is quick, and saves valuable space/weight.

High-quality, flexible, and delivers accurate speeds. Pricey, but worth it for futureproofing. Upgraded from a Thunderbolt 3 cable, and no regrets.

I really wanted this cable to work with my Razer Core X eGPU—it had all the right buzzwords: Thunderbolt 5, Intel Certified, 80Gbps, braided for extra fanciness. But when I plugged it in… nothing. Nada. No eGPU detection, no blazing speeds, just a very expensive disappointment cord.Maybe it’s great for docks, SSDs, or charging your hopes and dreams, but for eGPU setups? Hard pass. If you’re looking for a real Thunderbolt cable that actually works with an eGPU, keep scrolling—this isn’t the one! 🚫⚡🎭

This cable has a premium feel to it, with its nylon braid giving it a "thick bootlace" appearance. The cable works well on a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C drive enclosure with an M.2 SSD, charges a laptop from a cigarette lighter power adapter and lights almost every light on my Treedix USB Cable Tester. The only pair not lit is a second USB 2.0 pair which isn't wired separately in the USB standard anyway; four SuperSpeed pairs is more than enough! My FNB58 USB tester (available from Amazon) detects it as a passive cable, vendor ID 0x0522 (ACON, Advanced-Connectek, Inc.) and rated at 50 volts, 5 amps. It doesn't report the USB speed at present but this may change with the tester's next firmware upgrade. The drive enclosure definitely had no problem with it; had it not been capable it would've fallen back to connecting as a USB 3.0 device.

I’ve been using the Silkland Thunderbolt 5 Cable for a while now, and I’m honestly impressed by how fast and reliable it is. The 80Gbps data transfer and 120Gbps display bandwidth make a huge difference when I’m transferring large files or working with high-res videos – everything moves so much quicker than with my old cables. It’s definitely a time-saver.The cable itself is super durable too. I love the 48-strand braided nylon – it feels strong and flexible, but also soft enough that I don’t have to fight with it when I’m untangling it. I’ve noticed it’s much more resistant to wear compared to cheaper cables, so I’m confident this one will last me a while. As someone who works with multiple screens, I really appreciate the dual 8K/6K support. The quality is incredible, and setting up a 4K@144Hz display works like a charm. No more screen tearing or lag, just smooth visuals whether I’m working or gaming. It’s made my setup feel a lot more professional.I also love how compatible it is with all my tech – from my MacBook Pro to my iPhone 16 pro Max and USB-C monitors. It works seamlessly across all of them, so I don’t have to worry about any connectivity issues.I even tried it with my Meta Quest 3 VR headset, and the performance was great, delivering a stable speed of 2.7Gbps. That was a nice surprise, as it handled the connection smoothly without any hiccups.Another small but thoughtful feature is the velcro strap that comes with the cable. It’s a nice touch for keeping everything neatly coiled when not in use. I really appreciate that detail because it makes storage a lot more organized. This cable feels like a future-proof investment. With Thunderbolt 5 tech, I know it's built to handle whatever comes next. I’m actually planning to try it with my new eGPU soon, and I’m excited to see how well it performs with more demanding setups. Now, this cable is a bit pricier than other options I’ve found on Amazon, but I think the higher price is justified. It’s "Intel Certified", which probably adds to the cost, but that certification gives me confidence that I’m getting a reliable, high-quality product that’s built to handle all my devices and demanding tasks.Overall, this cable has been a great addition to my setup – fast, durable, and reliable. Totally worth the investment. Highly Recommended!

Der Preis ist absolut gerechtfertigt, wenn man die gebotene Leistung und Qualität betrachtet.Fazit: Uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung! 🌟
