It is made well enough, and you can adjust the pitch by screwing in the back part.But even at the highest pitch it is still very audible by humans, so in the end it’s just a whistle, not ultrasonic, and really a dog whistle as such. Would not but again.

Use this to call the dogs back when they wander our acreage. Isn’t as loud to human ears so the neighbors don’t hear it. Works great.

I cant adjust so I can't hear it. I was under the impression that just dogs and cats would be able to.

Well made, especially for the cost, though the adjustment threads/locknut tend to come unscrewed. Because of this, I lost the whistle part of it somewhere on Katy Woo's favorite beach while she was playing with a really good stick, and no way was I going to find it again in all those acres of sand. I then decided to order a more expensive type of whistle that wouldn't come apart, only to find that higher cost or not, it didn't work...barely a whistle sound, and no way to get Katy's attention, especially when there's seagulls to chase! So I ordered two more of these so that I now have a backup, and added some plumber's tape to the threads of the one I carry on my keychain. The tape is holding things together so far, and Katy can hear this sucker from WAY far away! She's a very good girl too.

I should have done more research before my purchase. I thought all dog whistles were high pitched. This reminds me of my gym coach's whistle lol
