These work great for heat lamp bulbs up to 250 watt. The ceramic socket and on/off switch are a plus for these higher watt bulbs. We had a pair of clamp light holders that did not include the on/off switch and had to be unplugged to turn off. nice aluminum material . Thumbs up.

I use these porcelain socket lamp holders with heat lamps, led flood lamps, and regular led lamps. They work great. The metal cage protects the light from damage. The clamp is strong enough to hold it securely. The porcelain base holds up the the heat of the lamp perfectly. These are a great bargain.

We used them for baby chicks. They do not come with a bulb, but the watt rating of this item will allow use for both 125W and 250W bulbs so it won't matter what you have, it will work.There is an included wire cage for the front of the unit to keep the bulb away from surfaces that could melt. They can be hung from above or clamped on to any surface with the included spring clamp. The reflective metal sends all the light or heat to where it should be which in our case was the baby birds.These work as well as any name brands we have used in the past and would not hesitate getting them again.
