Bought 2 and they work great with the SimpliSafe system. One thing to look for….The deadbolts I replaced were Schlage and were keyed on both the exterior and interior sides. These are incompatible with the SimpliSafe locks. I had to replace the deadbolts adding extra cost….but ultimately worth it. Knowing the status of and controlling my house’s locks gives our family peace of mind and were very easy to install.

**FYI - You do NOT have to pay for monthly monitoring for this to work in the app!**I live in a "smart" apartment that I created and set up myself. The only thing that is missing is to have a smart lock for my front door. I've tried a few other brands, but the apps were gimicky and the locks just weren't well made. I had finally given up after returning the second "other brand" lock... Until I found that Simplisafe just released a second version of their smart lock. I immediately bought it. I set it up immediately when it arrived. The packaging was as surprisingly impressive as the device itself - hats off to you Simplisafe. Within minutes I had the old lock off, the new lock on and even had it paired to my smart alarm. The one thing that I will absolutely APPLAUD Simplisafe for doing is including an outdoor keypad at this price. This is why I say it's a game changer. When I come home, all I have to do is put in any of the alarm codes into the keypad on the outside of my door and not only does it unlock the door but it ALSO disarms my keypad at the same time. This is perfect for letting anyone have a "key" to your home when they need it. It gives me a huge peace of mind knowing if something happens to me someone can get into my apartment with no issues to rescue/care for my furbaby. When it's time to leave, all I have to do is set my alarm to "away" and walk out. As soon as the countdown is finished it will automatically lock my door and send a notification to my phone that the door was successfully locked. No more fumbling with keys or wondering if you forgot to lock it. You can even dig deeper into the settings and choose how the lock behaves during arming/disarming. I have mine set to lock automatically when I put the system into "Stay" and anytime the alarm is turned off, whether it's set to Stay or Away the door automatically unlocks - perfect for anytime I need to take the dog out. I just disarm and open the door, no need to fumble with the lock anymore. All in all, this is an outstanding product by Simplisafe and I am so glad I decided to purchase this. If you own a Simplisafe system and this lock is compatible with your setup, please do yourself a favor and purchase this. You won't regret it!

First, the good news. This lock is reasonably priced and uses an existing deadbolt if desired (and compatible). It does what it's supposed to do. It locks and unlocks the door as needed and integrates with the SimpliSafe alarm system.Now for the down side, and it's a big one. The lock is not versatile. Any code for the alarm system can unlock the lock. This does not work for me. I have a high security area to which I do not want everyone who can disarm the alarm system to have access. This point has been brought to the attention of SS years ago by numerous people in their user forums. They have not corrected it yet. It's clear they do not care. They have a vision of how the lock should work and do not care what users want.I've been hoping they fix it since I need several more smart locks, but after all this time, they have not. So . . . . I am in the process of looking for a different lock to use. I will not be buying any more of these locks. If your needs are simple and you can live with all alarm codes opening this lock, you'll probably be happy. If you need more granularity, look elsewhere.

Absolutely love having this added piece of security to give me a peace of mind at night! The keypad is not very big and bulky so it’s not as thick! Definitely built to a good quality and the battery has already lasted me about two and half months! Definitely recommend!

I’ve been very happy with SimpliSafe for many years and could hardly wait for this product to finally become available! Unfortunately, I ordered it. Now that it’s installed, every few days the lock loses connection with the system. In order to get it working again, I have to remove it as a device, add it again, name it, calibrate it, and pair it with the entry sensor. It only takes about five minutes, but this means every time I leave the house, I can’t be sure if it will be working when I get home, and I can’t use the app to see if the door is actually locked. Fresh batteries, close to the base station and WiFi router, virtually zero interference… doesn’t matter. Will immediately update to five stars when a firmware upgrade fixes this problem, because otherwise it’s a great lock.

We committed to SimpliSafe many years ago. And for us this has been an easy and effective choice. We have dark colored exterior doors which we had refinished recently. We decided we wanted something other than white fixtures on those doors. Apparently SimpliSafe decided to provide the black option for many of their products, which is why we bought this. Very pleased with the product.
