these needle felt more quickly and go through more dense material better. the price was good for this product, buying in bulk is worth it for me as i also make up kits. however, i do have to color code them to differentiate them from other size needles (i dip the hook end in nail polish)

You've come to the right place if you need sharp felting needles. Work great, just watch your fingers. These really really are sharp. And they don't break easily either. So be certain of where your sticking them. Ouch.
