Got these on a warehouse deal for half price and low expectations. Just used them to tune up the family skis and I have to say I'm impressed! They didn't move from the table, held the ski's strong, and made the job easier. Please note I am an extreme novice so I cannot compare to the name brands. However they are well made and made me smile while using them so GO FOR IT....

I wanted to like this product, especially since it worked well with skis and snowboards, however it broke after only 2 months’ use. Not sturdy enough.

I didn't really like how the clamp on bottom doesn't adjust its so close you need a table with no lip on the edge has to be thin edge or has a flat bottom other than that works perfecto

I didn't really know what I was getting into when I got these, only that I needed something to prop my snowboard up for waxing, since normally I'd have to MacGyver ways to do so. The rubber grips are really effective and they really prevent the board from sliding around when I'm waxing. I can also mount the board vertically or at an angle for edge tuning. The vices are clamped securely and really hold things in place. I wish they'd include some instructions even though everything was easy to figure out, eventually. I hate how I have to go back to the product page just to get clarification on how things are supposed to work rather than having to figure things out on my own. I'm still giving them a good ratings because of their functionality.

I ran a snowboard/skateboard shop for 17yrs and I did all the tuning and hot waxing for many years so I am very familiar with these style of vise grips for tuning and hot waxing snowboards & skis and these are very well designed. The plastic is durable and installation was very simple on our tuning bench in our pole building. I really like the clamping mechanism for the upright position as they hold the skis or snowboard very really good for tuning ski and snowboard edges. The vises clamp to the table super secure and we are very pleased with these vise grips. Perfect for hot waxing and tuning your ride.

For the price point and for what it does, it think it is worth the cost. I like the addition of the side tightening mechanism to keep the board stable when tuning/sharpening the edges.Maybe one qualm I may have is that I think the clamp clearance to the table could be a little deeper. But for most tables it is more than fine.

Seemed to be made of duable material and clamps and everything work as they should. I am happy with product. Has helped me wax and edge several skis to get ready for season.
