This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the leaf. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the leaf. The Skyjacker add-a-leafs are pre-drilled for the center pin. Pin location varies with each application. Most have long tapered ends for a progressive affect and ride comfort.

I installed these today on my 2000 silverado 1500 4x4 it already has a 6 inch lift but it squared about an inch and these helped raise it 1.5" total I have zero complaints it took me about 45 min each side going slowly with hand tools, you may need longer u bolts check the extra length on yours you want atleast 1/4 to 1/2 inch past the nut once you tightened your u bolts,Also my truck now rides way smoother over bumps and tows 💯 times better!!!

I have a fuel tank and tool box I keep in my truck and I noticed it started sitting lower in the rear about 2" lower. This raised the rear back and it doesn't hardly squat at all with a trailer behind it.

They gave my truck about an inch of lift and it rides good but they do not come with spacers for between the leaves like other brands nor do they come with anti-squepads like other brands if I had to do it over again I would have went with Zone brand

Package came intact with no damage. Unfortunately it was missing the hardware inside. Called skyjacker and they offered zero help. Would not offer any assistance.

I added these to my 2000 Chevy Silverado half ton so I could handle more firewood in the back. I got at least a 2" lift and maybee more. Cranked the torsion bars up on the front to get it closer to level. The ride is a bit bumpy but there is no question I can handle a good 500-800LB more payload. I had 1200LBS of shingles and a good 500LBS of other stuff in the back on the way back from an auction last weekend and it was totally fine and actually rode better than unloaded. Highly recommend.

Great, product! I had another brand of add a leaf installed that finally broke after ten years. I ordered these, and they're great not quite as agressive. I can tell the ride's smoother. Highly recommend. Also recommend buying new u-bolts while you are at it.

Got them for my 2000 silverado. Got the install done in a couple hours. Only two complaints I can try to make is that the whole might not be perfectly centered causing it to stick out 1/8" from other leafs. Other would be the finish doesn't seem real tough. Both are minor and don't effect performance. They did what they're supposed to do and stiffened it up but the ride is still great. I'm satisfied.

Eff the bro at 4WP that said I needed to spend 5 times the amount to buy air bags to lift the back of my SILVERADO. added some weight capacity to the rear too.
