The slicer's shredding attachment stains hard-to-clean vegetables like carrots after slicing or shredding them. Simply put a little drop of cooking oil on the stained area and wipe it off with your hands or a dishcloth.
DISHWASHER SAFE

So I have this thing with with cabbage, it's messy, it's hard to deal with, it's hard to clean up, and it's annoying. However I want to eat it. The purple cabbage gets purple all over my counters. And I'd like it shredded small for coleslaw which is a pain.I told you I had problems but no more. I'd been looking for a device to help with this problem and while this product was not very expensive, I took my chances and I'm so glad I did.It even made a believer out of,my mother. Which was a feet all of it's own.So these are the things I like the most, it's simple. It's easy to get out, it's easy to put together. It's also very quick, it does the job and it's easy to clean. Now it could be a bit sturdier but I'm giving it a perfect review because I bought a cost saving product, and it more than does it's job. It only specializes in fine shredding and I'm okay with that as well.So all that to tell you...It's quick and easy and effective. BUY IT and make some coleslaw. Add a carrot for color. Then slice up the finest cucumbers you'll ever eat. I love it and you will too!

I wanted one of these type of attachments for ages but just kept putting it off - not knowing what would be good or not. I finally broke down and bought this one - mainly for shredding cheese (because of all the additives in store bought shredded cheese). It works so well. I am so happy with how easy it is to attach and take off my stand mixer. I am sorry I do not have pics or videos but the product does what it says.

I looked at this of and on about three weeks before I committed to buying it. I finally bought this attachment in February 2022. I dont do a lot of reviews but as a Part time Chef I gotta say WOW!!! Easy to Use, Easier to Clean!! Still works Like NEW!

This shredder attachment works perfectly with the KitchenAid stand mixer I have. It is easy to install by just lifting the round metal emblem at the front of the mixer. You need to make sure you tighten the knob or else the shredder will not have a good fit with the machine. I use this attachment mainly for shredding cheese blocks so that we don't have to buy pre-shredded cheese. The cheese can be a bit sticky and the blades can get stuck especially if some cheese gets stuck between the body of the shredder and the blade. I wish there was a tab at the end of the blade cone that I could grab to help remove it for cleaning especially when working with stickier foods.This attachment has lasted us about 3 years now and is still going strong. We wash it in the top rack of the dishwasher after the 3 parts have been separated.

I was able to quickly slice an entire container of strawberries in thirty seconds. This quickly attaches to my KitchenAid mixer and slices whatever I put in it. I save my hands. This product is a must. It’s super fast and efficient. The edges of the cuts are so crisp and professional looking. Cleanup is a breeze. I just have to run it under water and it slips clean. I’m also able to throw in the top rack of the dishwasher for easy clean up as well. The cut acccuracy is on point. I’m able to select which cut I want. I am able to slice through cheese, cucumbers, strawberries, even meat! Storage is effortless as I can stack all the attachments together and actually store next to my KitcheAid in the cabinet. The cuts are always sharp. The taste of my food is always fresh. The presentation of the food is nice because of the accurate cuts.

I have pasta roller and cutter attachments for my KitchenAid mixer that I got sometime ago. We have been into a diet plan recently and so this new attachment looked very useful for helping make salad. So, we bought it. We have already used it a handful of times in the past several days and this attachment works great. The main attachment goes into the machine and then the cutter, slicer, grater blades go into the attachment. All these blades work great right now because they are new at this time. However, the overall quality of steel and finishing looks great, so they should keep working nicely for at least a couple of years. Salad making gets much easier with this attachment and we are happy with the purchase. Highly recommended. Decent price (we paid $51) considering the overall usage and value that we get.

I bought this grater attachment for my Kitchen Aide Mixer, only wish I would have done it a long time ago. All I want to do us grate everything now. Its so easy to connect and take apart to clean, so easy...its also very nice to just watch the attachment and machien do all the work instead of grateing and grateing and having your hand nicked up and sliced up and your arm geting tired from cheese grating for a pizza or lasagna. Wish I would have done this purchase a lot sooner.

It fits my Kitchenaid and of works well. I only have 2 slight problems with it...the first thing I did was slice carrots. The largest slicing attachment makes very thin slices ( I would have preferred thicker slices for vegeble, and the white plastic parts took on the colour of the carrots 🥕. I haven't been able to get it back to white.I think that citric acid may do the job, but I don't have time right now. It's a ..good product and the price is reasonable. I would have given 5 stars, if the food had not stained it!

I purchased this and worked great for about 8 months then it broke. The company had already made the modifications as they must have had issue with the old style. I contacted customer service and wow! Fantastic service , a replacement was sent out in 3 days . Highly recommend the product and this company.

Bought when I thought my Kitchenaid brand one was missing pieces. I thankfully was incorrect. But before I found that out I tested this one. I bought it to save my fingers from my mandolin because I buy my veggies to dehydrate in the summer. It's been a long winter and with another lockdown looming (even with an exit from the current one tomorrow) I went to my local farmers market to stock up in advance. I wanted to slice my carrots and onions faster and save my fingers. First of all there is no "click" to let you know it's "locked in place". It's not locked in by the way. The piece fell out once the next carrot was placed in the hopper. More than once. This led to a shredded mess from what should be the slicer attachment. That is more wasted carrot than I'd like. This led me to hunt down the box for my Kitchenaid slicer attachment to find all the pieces there ( I blame the pregnant me that packed it in my last move 3+ years ago.) My words are save your time and spend the extra $25 to get the real deal. I washed mine and set it up and not to my surprise it "SLICED" my carrots with little to no waste.
